A sewer ejector pump kept running and running. I went online to the AHS website and put in my claim and I was told that Whitney Holdings would be coming the next day. The guy came out and got it going again. He said it was pretty old and he seemed to think it would need replacing. But it seems to be working okay for now and the repair has definitely helped. They did a good job. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied.
I had a toilet that was running and leaking around the base one time. I used American Home Shield's website and went forward with submitting a claim. Their site is great and it's a lot faster to request service through there than on the phone. Their system doesn't ask a lot of questions but I was able to say that I had a leak and that my issue involved a toilet. The washing machine was vibrating, and it wouldn't turn off. I had to unplug it. If I plug it back in, it would start up on its own. The fellow that AHS sent came and checked it and he had to order parts. He knew what the parts were. It was a control panel in the Maytag washing machine that had gone bad. It took about two weeks for the part to come in. He came out again and fixed it. It didn't take him long. It's been running good ever since. I'm waiting on a repair now on my stove. I've had American Home Shield for four years. I have it on two houses and I like it. The only thing I can’t do online, if I don’t wanna talk to someone, is put claims for multiple appliances. So I had to call one time. Bu they’re great. The contractor from Austin Heating and Air was here on time. He texted before he got here. He went up there and checked my AC unit and said it was a fuse. He fixed it and as soon as he came down it worked. So he was in and out, quick, and got it done.
We had a pipe under the sink that broke in half. The website was good, although I would have appreciated if it was more detailed on what exactly was covered because when I submitted my claim for a plumbing, it just said, “Plumbing.” So, I thought that was regarding anything with plumbing. But when the contractor came out, they said, “Oh, well. This pipe broke because of a pre-existing condition,” which we haven’t been aware of from previous owners. Tri-County Plumbing was my designated vendor for a service request I made. Their tech came out first to look at the job and he was all in his protective gear. That was just cool. He was very courteous, quick, and efficient. He left then came back with a tank a couple of days later and did the job. He got it up to code. I was here the whole day he was here. The water was leaking under my sink so every time I'd run water, it would leak into the bottom of the sink cabinet. I had a bowl left under that curtain of water. I submitted the claim online. The AHS website is user-friendly. But Super Rooter never showed up. I contacted them three times. They close early at 4:30 and I get off work at 4:30. Awesome. Takes long time to get appointment but service is great. Worth the monthly fee. Have used it 4 times. No hassle just great service. They do a great job with repairing what’s broke.
J Ferg Pros Plumbing came out for my hot water heater and they were great. Nobody else would come out. AHS can’t get a response from anybody else because it happened on a holiday weekend. The water heater was leaking, and it ended up being the condensation line from the air conditioning unit that they had to replace. I like having AHS for security and this was the first time I’ve ever used it.
