Have American Home Shield the last four years has saved us a tremendous amount of money. We actually didn't have to use it for the first two and last year we only had to use it once. But this year we have been pretty unlucky when it comes to appliances fritzing out and we would be royally screwed if we didn't have AHS helping us. My only complaint is their policy regarding switching contractors during work. At times it has become difficult to get though to someone and difficult to communicate. The process of replacing a broken item is not always convenient. Often a long wait time to repair an item or they offer to give a lesser amount than the value of the applicable to replace. The overall service may be worthy the hassle but we are often tempted to cancel.
Get the covered items up and running with professionals most BR of the time. We incurred a problem with one contractor that took 2 weeks to resolve before another professional was brought in and ordered parts and fixed my washer immediately after getting the parts
This was included with a recent home purchase. We used them when the AC failed. They provided am excellent company to do the replacement and the total out of pocket was reasonably priced

We needed help twice this summer. AHS quickly assigned us service providers. In both cases, the problem was fixed.

Loved the service, I had an issue with my heat so I called American Home Shield and they sent someone out to check it, it turned out that the furnace can not be fixed, so they replaced it and all I had to pay for was the chimney cause that is not covered
