I’ve only used American Home Shield a couple of times but everything’s been great when I have used it. I like the speed of it. Any time I put a request, I get a response back the same day so they're really quick. With my recent claim, I did it on a Saturday, then a contractor came out on a Tuesday. They sent Still Waters Plumbing for the plumbing for our garbage disposal. The technician was okay.
We had Air Solutions come out for the seasonal tune-up and it took them 20 minutes. They were out here last summer because our system wasn’t cooling very well. And they're amazing. They’re efficient and they show up on time. They seem to do a thorough job and they listen to our concerns and give good feedback.
AHS responded to our request for service by assigning a professional repair company within 4 hours. The repairman came within three days to evaluate the problem and order parts. In a few days when the parts arrived, the repairman returned to install them and validate that the repair had solved the problem. Great work!
I felt that old appliances always need some kind of warranty on them and I decided to give AHS a try. If they weren't gonna be any use to me, I would've gone to the next one. But recently, my washer kept giving us a code 05. It wasn't going through the proper washing cycles. I filed a claim over the internet and it was a smooth process. Sigmund Plumbing came out to stop a leak in the shower. It turned out that a piece inside needed to be replaced. They tried to use the old one and it only partially stopped it. So I had to call them back just to come back and completely stop it because I didn't want mold. Now everything has been perfect. I’m happy with American Home Shield. They're awesome. Max Appliance came out and had to repair the buttons on the front of my microwave. The tech had to order it and he came and took a picture of the model number. When the pandemic happened, he had to order it and so it took him a little bit longer than normal. He's been to our house before to do a repair on something else, and he did it within 10 minutes. The first guy came to check the dishwasher and he said there was something wrong with the dishwasher that is why it was leaking on top of the sink. They had to refer it to the plumber. The service guy from Heros Plumbing did a good job. When he came out for the plumbing, he said one of the pipe at the back was essentially blocked. So, he unblocked it. The claims process with American Home Shield is pretty easy. When our trial lapsed, we thought it was a good deal so we went back to it. Our AC claim with them went well. The technician seems pretty knowledgeable. He filled the Freon and it checked out to be good.
Filing my claim with American Home Shield was amazing. I liked the ease of being able to do it online. Island Breeze was out within 12 hours. And that’s really important given the fact that we’re on a stay home order. They were extremely professional with their PPE gear and with their cleanliness.
