I put in a request online for my refrigerator because it was making a sound and then my oven wasn’t working. I've had no issues when I submit claims on Home Shield's website. It's quick. And it gives me the information to where if I don’t hear from the contractor, then I could reach out. I had my AC serviced then I was having problems with them cooling and the people that serviced it said that the ACs needed to be replaced. When the company came though, they said that the only way American Home Shield would replace them was if they completely stopped working. The guy had to look at them and said the two of them at the bottom had too much coolant. He said that that’s as bad as not having enough, so he took them out. In our first month of AHS coverage we had both an unexpected AC issue and a plumbing issue - and AHS batted both out of the park with almost immediate service by wonderful, polite, and experienced tradespeople who took care of our issues with great skill and speed. Greatly appreciated!
Plumbers Inc. came out for our garbage disposal issue and the nice young man was wonderful. He was efficient, nice, pleasant and he did a great job. I would recommend him to anybody. I also had a dishwasher claim and the guy looked at it and took a bunch of pictures. It doesn't work. I didn't get a response so I called and American Home Shield. Their rep said that the tech's paperwork was not complete so they'd have to contact him. That was on Friday and I waited 'til Tuesday.I had to call back and ask them what was happenin... read more
AirMax Heating & Cooling didn’t catch what was wrong with our heating the first time they came out, so they had to come out a second time. The contractor is amazing and very well-versed. There wasn’t a question that he didn’t have an answer to. He even provided examples and analogies for me to better understand the equipment that was in my house, what other options I might have if I wanted to replace it and what effects that would have on the house in its totality. The AC was not blowing cold air at all and I called American Home Shield and discussed with them what the issue was. They said they were gonna put in a claim for me and then, I spoke to the lady on the phone. She gave me a claim number and informed me who was coming out as well as the first name of the person who would be here. She gave me a day and the timeframe. McCain’s Appliance came out to fix our freezer. It was easy to submit that claim to AHS. I like them as my home warranty provider.
I was very pleased with the contractor. He had his mask on and was professional. We have a waterfall, which wasn’t completely shutting off the way it was supposed to and it was leaking. He told us what to do and then he went out to see if the water meter was going around. He found the problem and there was nothing that he had to do. It was well worth the $75, but he didn’t do anything. He just told us what was wrong and showed us what had happened. There was a leaky hose that we didn’t know.
