I called and planned to have a spring tune up on our air conditioning system, was not aware that was no longer covered. Good news the technicians came anyway and found that I had a repairable issue, the cooling fan was going out and needed to be replaced. The technicians that were sent where very informative this is a new house to us and they explained how our system operates and how to best use it to save energy. American Home Shield does a good job. I wish the service call price was lower, but I understand. That’s expected. Recently, the contractor who came out for my unit was good. They came out, did the work and got it working.
I was so glad I had the warranty. The repair team came out assessed the problem and found alternatives to what would have been a costly repair had I used another service. They were knowledgeable, quick, friendly and efficient.
Our upstairs air conditioning went out. The contractor that came out was great. The tech called me the night before the service and let me know when he would be coming the next day. Then he called me half an hour before he came. So it went pretty smooth. It looked like we had a small electrical fire behind the air conditioner where the few cables come together. My dryer pulley went out so the dryer wasn’t rotating. My dryer crapped out on a Friday, but it took Kingdom Appliance until Tuesday to get out. That’s one thing that I didn’t like about that - it wasn’t very quick service. You put a claim with Home Shield, and then they all forward it to a local service here, and then the local service isn’t open Saturdays and Sundays. They’re only open Monday to Friday. One of my friends that live near my neighborhood recommended AHS. Their contractor, Burleson Services, did everything professionally and I’m very satisfied.
I have had a policy with AHS for a few years. All claims have been handled quickly. Issues and choices have been negotiated with ease. Their customer service agents have all been easy to work with. Every repair person has handled the problems I have had with my home efficiently and the individuals have been very courteous.
We bought the house almost four years ago and just to make sure that things were covered and we wouldn’t run into any problems early in our purchase, we decided to get a warranty. We had ants and we filed the claim online. I was given a 24 hour timeframe then Terminix came and sprayed. They were great and everything was fine.
