Being with AHS has been good so far. My shower water wasn't getting hot one time and I called in a claim to American Home Shield. The rep I spoke to was very professional. Within 24 hours, I got a call from their contractor, Heros Plumbing Service, LLC. The tech who came out from there was very quiet and he did the job. Things have been perfect since then.

I needed to have a rekey done. Through the Home Shield, I was told that even though I paid, I couldn’t do anything. I had to call my Realtor and told her that I was told me I could get my home rekeyed. She took care of it for me then someone called me. She said that was not the way that it was supposed to go. They were supposed to allow me to get my key since I already had my contract number and everything. She actually did that process for me. Someone from Ed’s Lock and Key came and everything went perfectly. The tech calle... read more

The garage door would not open and I submitted a claim to American Home Shield for it to be serviced. Then when the contractor got there, they said it was not the garage door opener. Something on the bar was broken but they still fixed it. They were very professional and on time.

The claim submission with Home Shield is very easy. I go online and submit and it would take not even 24 hours to see a contractor. And their contractors are professional and they get the job done fast. One time, water was coming between the wall and the ceiling. The tech from Water Control Plumbing cut into the wall and fixed everything. It was great. I've told a few people about American Home Shield. The price is good and the service is fast.

American Home Shield is doing really good right now and I haven't had any problems. Their claims process was really easy. I had a claim for an electric issue and Sunbelt Electric was my designated vendor. The tech was a good guy and was really nice. I liked him a lot. He fixed the problem right away and it was really just a reset of a switch. It was kind of my stupidity as I thought I had reset everything. The claim went great.

We have a backup system. When it vibrates, the original pump turns and it gets hooked up and then it stops working. It will go to the secondary. When the secondary kicks off, it pumps up right at the house instead of going away from the house. We had On Time Plumbing & Heating come out the first time. The guy saw it and he moved it slightly and it was fine. Then the motor moved and we had to call AHS back and have them come back out. There was a slight language issue with the lady that my husband talked to ‘cause I heard he k... read more

I’ve had Home Shield in the past. However, they should make the out-of-pocket expenses when something is getting repaired or replaced cheaper. One time, the contractor came out to work on the AC and they replaced stuff that they didn’t need to. It’s great that I wasn’t charged for it, but that was a charge that was sent to Home Shield versus me. They had no need to replace the thermostat when all it needed was something else done to it. That was really bad of them. And then this last time, they forced me to pay for something... read more

I have several issues in this house and Home Shield doesn’t give me the runaround. If I got a problem, they get the $100 and send somebody out to fix it. They sent one electrician here and he was horrible. I had some problems with my fan. The remote control went bad and he called to make sure that my home warranty is still in effect in front of me on speakerphone. That was so freaking disrespectful. Other than that, all the rest of the contractors were okay.Anytime Home Services sent somebody out first in December for a plum... read more

The garage door opener was not working properly. It was not closing or opening. I filed a claim online and someone was sent out within 24 hours. The tech came and replaced the logic board. So far, everything is okay. I've been with American Home Shield for about three years. I bought a new home and researched on the internet about warranty companies and then I got some information through my friends and they all recommended American Home Shield. So I went with them.
