I live in a rural area outside of Pittsburgh. AHS doesn’t pay contractors enough to get them to show up. I have been through different contractors and usually I need to bribe them to get them to come and do my repairs.

When my ac was not working they had someone one within a day or so. When my water heater went out over a week went by and still had not found a vendor to come look at it.

American home shield is a pain to deal with and takes forever to get most things fixed because they don’t have good contractors but it usually does get fixed.
Monthly payment made and yet still pay for a service charge
Excellent customer service agents; fast, reliable service.
I like how swift the service is. It is definitely worth the money. I do not need to find a service repair person (time saved). If AHS cannot repair it, they replace it. I cannot ask for more.
I've been a customer since 2019 and have had nothing but great things to say about them. Friendly and efficient staff, generally quick service. I recently had my dishwasher break and American Home Shield made several attempts to remedy the issue (which was great), unfortunately, it had to be replaced. The company they connected me with for the replacement was beyond horrible; they have 1.4 stars on Google and the reviews are some of the worst I've read. Our microwave oven door's handle broke, and the matter was handled by AHS and the service vendor promptly, efficiently, and successfully. We were thrilled.
