My refrigerator went out 16 days ago. I had to wait 3 days for the repair man to come to my house. I gave them the error code when I made the appointment with the Appliance company. Technician showed up looked at the refrigerator and said he needed to order the parts. I asked him why he didn't bring the parts since I gave them the error code. American Home Shield sucks, run away from it. I have asked not once, twice, but 3 times to talk or have a supervisor call. No luck, still since june and very disappointed. I have been waiting on a refund for 2 weeks now, but you took my monthly fee out still. When you call it's an easy 1 hour wait due to covid, yeah rite I have had these guys 2 years and this is how it was then and now no different. Too expensive can get many services cheaper. E.g. rekey, plumber, etc. I had an emergency this weekend and was told it would be 24-48 hours before I got a response. Then I noticed AHS gave me a wrong number. Even Consumer Reports does NOT recommend this type of company. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, FOLKS!!

I have consistently received horrible customer service from AHS. There is no ability to email AHS to discuss concerns or request information and there are no direct lines to departments within AHS. I have consistently had to sit on hold for 1-2 hours each time I need to contact the company. My claims have taken 3-4 weeks on average to be completed, which is completely unacceptable. Contractors are unqualified and are trying to take advantage of those with a home warranty. I am so frustrated with AHS and cannot believe what h... read more

do not use local contractors. wait time- 1 to hrs to get thru.
Slow to respond, keeps me on hold for one to 2 hours at a time. Eventually do assist, but very time-consuming.
