Processing the claim with AHS was easy but that the company that they used, Island Breeze Heating and Air Conditioning, was so busy. It took a week for them to come out. But I love them. They're a great company. It's probably why they're so busy ‘cause they’re so good. Our heat came on our HVAC unexpectedly in the heat of the day and it was resolved about four days ago. Took more than one trip but the guys finally got my leak fixed and were very professional. Wore their masks and made me feel comfortable. They were very kind despite having to come back.

I have called in a claim and also submitted a claim online. It is very easy to do both. When my house guests clogged up my downstairs toilet in the family room, I had a tech come out and he was very sufficient. He was very friendly and very pleasant. We found out the guests had been using paper towels. They were too lazy to go to the garage to get toilet tissue and clogged up the toilet. I also had a claim for a central air unit. It needed Freon. My air conditioner inside the house was making this crazy sound. The young guy from United Air Temp came in, looked it over and said something was broken. He sent it back to American Home Shield, and he came back and fixed it. He was excellent. He walked me through the entire thing. He even showed me the parts that he replaced. I like calling in, but when I called American Home Shield, it was such a long wait that I ended up doing the claim online. I asked High Priority Plumbing for a recall because one of the toilets is still not working. That was a week ago and I still haven't heard back. I called Home Shield. They said that they would issue the recall. I'm going to call them back today because it has been a week and no one has come back out. Other than that, Home Shield's service is usually great. Our water heater had busted pipes. AHS sent out a tech and he took care of it right away. He was good and I have no problems with his work so far. Other than that, submitting claims with AHS has been easy for me. I read some of their reviews and they don't have a lot of good reviews. But I've never had a problem and my husband said we’re renewing our contract with them. He’s out of the country and I have to deal with things myself, and most of the time, he’s on deployment so it’s making it easier for me.
I called AHS when the oven wasn't working. They said it’d be about 10 days for somebody to come out. Sears came, looked at it and they fixed it. It worked for a while but the thing threw a fit again. The last time that the tech came, he was calling and trying to get parts. AHS told him that they would send him a part, but they didn't have the other part. We had a leak from the bathroom, so the contractors that AHS sent had to replace that drywall. The person who came from the other company to do the plumbing sent in the information to AHS and the contractors called me to say, “We're coming out to do your drywall.” So, that was seamless. The part that I had an issue with was with the plumber. It took almost a month for me to have a plumber come in here and it was not on AHS' end. It was the company's problem.
