We have had very good and very bad experiences with American Home Shield. Some of their repair companies concoct false information about the situation in order to exclude the repair from coverage. However, some of the repair companies are excellent. It’s luck of the draw.

I have gotten many items repaired or replaced over the years. Most all the people came on time and did a great job. There was one company that did a terrible job and should not be used by AHS. Each year however fewer things are covered and more fine print is added to the contract.

This is a great service to have. It does save you money when repairs are needed. The only issue I have is the increase in monthly payment. Things are already expensive and then my monthly premium goes up.

Most repair items are plumbing and appliances, it is very convenient for a property management to order through AHS a service and be fixed.
