The drain pan in our upstairs air conditioner had a clog in it, so it's cutting the air conditioner off. We did the claim with American Home Shield and it was fast. We got a call back. The guy didn't do it right the first time and they had to come back. But that didn't have anything to do with AHS. The AC is working as normal and we’re doing well. We've always had good experiences with AHS. We never had any huge issues and I don't have to argue. There's no pushback. What they say is usually how it is. We've been with America... read more

Prior to this property, I had a home in West Virginia and I had Home Shield for five years there, too. I just go on the website to submit a claim to Home Shield. Also, speaking with their rep has always been pleasant. I was here when the Bast Heating & Cooling tech came. It was a quick appointment. They just had to clean out the blowers and do the yearly maintenance that they do for your HVAC system when the seasons change. So far, everything has been pleasant. That’s why I have kept the home warranty for so long. This house... read more

It took from October until last month to get my ice maker and refrigerator fixed. I first called the claim for my ice maker in October and a worker came out and did something on it so it should work but it didn't. So I called him. The mistake I made was I kept calling the repairman. It was $100 and the tech replaced an icemaker, and then came back again about nine times. So all the nine times he came back, I never notified Home Shield and I should've. But I know when I call there, it's a good 45 minutes to an hour wait on th... read more

I have two hot water tanks and both of them were not heating very well. The contractor replaced an element on the regular hot water tank. They ordered an element for the tankless tank and they will come back and replace it. It hasn’t been long enough that it should be here. The technicians were helpful, very polite and clean.

The contractor came to repair my microwave. I had it serviced by a different company a year ago and it continued to break down. But this time, this gentleman changed a couple of pieces that were different from the last, and it seemed to be working very well. I also had a claim for my dryer and that gentleman was very good. The parts weren't available then he searched and found it, and within two hours he had my dryer going. The only trouble that I have is that when I get a live customer service representative, they're from o... read more

Our water heater went out and we went online and put in a ticket to American Home Shield. The website was easy enough to navigate. They told us to contact our contractor and they were out here within a couple of days. Since they’ve been out, everything has been great. The only issue I had with AHS was back when our AC went. It took a long time to get everything coordinated but a lot of it was because it was right when COVID had hit.

Our garage door broke and it wouldn't go up and down. There was a spring that was broken. My husband submitted a claim to American Home Shield and I got a phone call from them. Their contractors did quality work. While we've had a couple of claims that took a long time to get solved, our experience with AHS has been pretty good.

We've had American Home Shield's contractor here once and they were wonderful. They did what they had to do. They were friendly, very helpful and cleaned up after themselves. I had American Home Shield canceled a couple times but their contractor was here when they were supposed to be and we were both very happy.

The technician was very good, knowledgeable and helped me understand what was going on with my outlet. It was handled well. He made a fix on the outlet on the outside of the house because it wasn't getting any power. Then, the outlet in the kitchen to the microwave had a major power switch that I didn't know it had. He didn't know either so he put in that adapter thing and he said that the outlet was not getting any power. After he researched, he went to the breaker box and he said that there was no power to it. I said that ... read more
