Watch out! Bait & switch in its' purest form. Mail communications received from Amerigas with promotional offer. Called three times to get the delivery of 100 gallons of propane based on the promotinal offer. Recieved a text saying they would send only 52 gallons. I called to ask if this was some sort of "rationaing" a limited amount of propane fuel, and/or why send a truck for 52 gallons for an order of 100 gallons. Amerigas has terrible customer service. This year has been the worst. I pre-bought gas on July 5, 2023 for $2.33 per gallon for 900 gallons. On 9/26/23, I received a bill showing I owed $1259. The bill had the gas priced at $3.489 per gallon instead of the $2.33 per gallon and it did not show my pre-buy payment of $1854.53. I have called Amerigas several times. They have not yet resolved my problem. The call center is the worst. I would recommend that you not purchase propane from this company.

They have the worst service and they cost the most!! - They are very expensive - They would not come get their tank when we decided not to have their service anymore. - They finally came and got their tank 9 months after stopping service with them after calling numerous times to have them come pick it up. They would give me dates when they would pick it up and then they wouldn't come. It took us moving, for them to finally get the tank and then they charged me a pick up fee of $150.00 for that!!! I received an email on 9/13 from AmeriGas offering a $20 discount, valid until 9/29. I went online to place the order. The website would not accept the promo code, but it placed my order. Gas was delivered on 9/19. The invoice did not reflect a discount. I called customer service twice to resolve this and adjust the invoice. Both times, the connection was so poor they couldn't hear me. The noise in their background was a cacophony. I rent an apartment and AmeriGas is contracted to fill the tanks on a regular basis and we each have metered accounts and pay by usage. When I moved there, I asked what the previous tenant paid for propane which is used only for heat and was given a figure. After about a year my bill jumped by 90%. I called AmeriGas customer service and was assured it was a mistake and they would report it and to pay what I normally do. This went on for 6 months with no resolution. On Thursday, September 14, AmeriGas delivered 285.4 gallons of propane to my property for $4.879 per gallon. The local market price (no contract, residential delivery) is $2.67 per gallon. My account history for the last 24 months shows the scale of price gouging that has taken place, with the /gallon price 140% higher than it was two years ago, even though WTI prices have only increased 8.5% during the same period. This complaint applies to Amerigas in Albertville Alabama Although it may not apply to them personally, my purchase was made online. I did not get a total amount owed invoice. I called talked to someone said the total would be 185..97. When the gas was delivered the total was $200.85. I ordered online, they said it would be less charges, no delivery fee. Monopoly, rip off ($4.89 gal), piss poor billing (pay first and you might see your delivery 10 days later). If you cancel service, right now it is $149.99 to pick up tank (it was $75 when I contracted) but, Oct 1 that pick up fee will be $199.99. And, geeezzzee, I could not speak the same language of the person I spoke to, and she was very rude because I would not say why I am ending service. NEVER AGAIN Amerigas!! And, you have to select 1 star to submit this review, see what I mean, "Monopoly"
