I was charged several fees that I was unaware of. Fee one... Will-call fee $8.99 This fee is for actually calling and ordering propane instead of ordering online. Fee 2... Paper invoice fee $2.99 this fee is for Amerigas mailing their invoice to my home. The other fees are HazMat $ 9.99, Fuel recover fee 2.99 and of course State tax and County tax. With all these absurd hidden fees save you money and buy from another company' A one star is generous!
Run, don't walk, run from this company. They will charge you 149.99 to remove THEIR tank from YOUR yard. Everywhere else it is called Extortion. If you don't pay and have the tank removed, they will charge you tank rental. I have NO idea how they are getting away with their shady business practices. They're charging you rent even if you buy their gas, but don't buy enough of their gas. Extortion. They charge WAY more than any other company Per Gallon for the gas. Terrible customer experience. We are building a new home and they told me that I have to have appliances on site before they will even come out for a site evaluation. Does that mean I have to be practically moved in before they will dig a hole and bury a tank? That's completely ridiculous. I can't begin to describe my frustration and complete dissatisfaction with this company's responsiveness, billing practices, fee structure and overall poor management. Recently I had plants dying near my gas meter similar to a situation I had a few years ago which resulted in an inspection, finding a leak, correcting the leak and at no charge. Absolute garbage company. Zero customer service, criminal rates, lie to customers and hide behind phone tag games, outrageous hidden fees. Everything you do with them has to be a fight. Offloading Amerigas was the best thing I’ve ever done.
They took my personally owned tank and dont have a record of it called multiple times told them i have surveillance footage state police will be my next ph call
Very poor customer service. They rejected my online order and no one knows who did it and why. They didn’t even care to inform us about it so we can work on it. Someone said she proceeded with the new order when I called but 10 days later nothing had happened. I just called and same answer. What kind of business is that when you have a big name? for 8 years have had good service, zero problems. found out in December i need a fill up, was told that it would be 2 week wait time. I had auto fill. it took many phone calls for their service associates to understand that it was zero degrees outside and being a senior citizen it was an emergency. It took my daughter whom lives out of state to explain she would call the tv station to let them know that they did not care about seniors in bad weather. We were customers with AmeriGas for several years, several months ago I canceled service and our entire neighborhood went with a new company. I continue to be billed even after everything was switched over seamlessly I thought. And I just recently had a conversation after I noticed a bill come through and I was told I owed zero thank God.
