Been charged multiple times when no one has even been to my house and I am suppose to be on will call. Takes about 6 months and 20 phone calls to get the charges reversed. Everytime I call they screw something up and will put in a service order and charge you when you are trying to get a service charge taken off since it was never requested and never completed. In the process of closing my account but they make it near impossible!

First of all, I am a senior citizen, on Social Security. So I, like many others, have to watch my spending. Amerigas is not a good company to do business with. The last few years, their rental rates have gone up and up. They are now charging me $203.00 for a yearly rental of two tanks. I was told that I would have to buy 660 gallons of propane per year in order to have no tank rental fee. We are new customers of Amerigas & had our tank filled to capacity on May 26th. We then receive another bill on June 13th for a "tank pull from road" according to the invoice, which was not physically possible since our tank was already at capacity. I have called at least twice a week since the beginning of July, filed several disputes & every time I call they say it had to be rebilled & give it 72 hours. Horrible company. I have been over-billed and have been calling to resolve it for over SIX MONTHS now. Each time the (overseas call center) representative tells me I am correct and they will get this taken off my bill. Only once in the last six months did it come off my bill only to have it pop back on again a week or two later. Each call is 30-60 minutes long, and no resolution. This is the worst American company in history. I've called this company so many times (even emergency) for them to pick up a tank. They scheduled the pick-up but would not show up. So UNPROFESSIONAL! When a driver finally came after months of several calls, he said he could not pick it up by himself. I called again several times (their customer service is in the Philippines). Since centralizing their 'customer service' - absolutely nothing gets completed - zero 'customer service' - a bunch of 'scripted diaogue' from outsourced folks who either can't or don't follow through on promises of 'I understand, we will take care of that...'. I have been working with Amerigas for 3 months to get a refund and d'c an atrocious contract - locked in at $3.88/gal. price, when prices in my locale have been $1.59 to $1.69. Horrible customer service! Apparently service Representatives can quote you on a price of gas till a certain date and when you call back to order before the date they say "oh sorry we told you the wrong date and there is nothing we can do about it!" They can say what ever they want and no one is held accountable!

This is the worse company on the frigan planet. Customer service is horrible. i called to ask about a screwed up invoice...again, and the customer service rep.can barely speak English or understand what I am asking. They constantly screw up the invoices and have -0- common sense. I am sick of it and hate this frigan company with a passion.

Amerigas failed to change my credit card # after I gave it to them so, when they tried to charge my mo pmt to the old one it rejected. They cancelled my contract which had locked in my rate and increased my rate to the then current much higher one. I tried many times to tell them it was their fault to no avail. I decided to switch to a different company so had Amerigas remove my tank which had propane still in it. They double charged me a pickup fee.
