AmeriGas is the WORST company to deal with. I was having trouble logging into my account, couldn't order a refill on my tank. (there are many more issues that occurred as well, my name being spelling wrong on my bill for months, unable to connect with customer service, no answers when calling, etc.) All of that being said, I decided to cancel service. I suspect criminal accounting practices. Several types of fraud; mail, email, telephone. Told account was at $0.00, then began receiving invoices, late fees. Charged over $160.00 for THEM to pick up THEIR tank on my property. The description on the bill reads: 'Other Adjustments' Called, asked, no further info. Then told account was closed, even though they're still charging late fees. Now collection company is calling. Never had a utility problem until Amerigas. This company is so unprofessional. They first promise free propane which I get the man made a mistake. After having to call multiple times for a delivery. Then I’m promised a discount for their error no discount. We switched companies since I’m constantly told I haven’t called them. We have called 7 times to get a tank picked up. Possibly the worst customer service ever. I have been purchasing their product at either Publix or Home Depot for years. Lately ever tank I exchange works one time. The next time I go yo use it the gas flow is very low and not enough to heat my grill. I change out the previous almost ne tank with another (same brand). That tank works well the first time; next time I go to use the grill, same problem. They took 11 months to install my 500gal propane tank. 3 failed inspections, they charged me late fees for the duration as I refused to pay until the project was completed. They charged me $1000 over the estimate and that included service call fees to address the failed inspections. I had to contact a local news network to finally get them to finish the project. Worst company ever

Idaho Amerigas: I received a "top off" 7 days before I moved in to my new home. I received another bill for a "fill up" 21 days after I moved in. They say that I somehow used $521 worth of propane in 21 days. In order to "resolve" the dispute they need to send someone out for a leak test. The day they scheduled the test no one arrived and no one called. When I called in FOUR TIMES to get the bill removed for the gas not delivered, it was a cyclical nightmare. I have had propane for my home since 2006, Amerigas purchased this account thru Heritage Propane and service even though the price has tripled for a man made product is in humane, I reported a gas leak in my rented tank from them on August 11, 2023 they took the tank quickly, the technician voiced that the COMPANY was prejudice against those in a mobile home and I should look for service elsewhere, but the tank should be returned by Monday August 14 or Tuesday August 15 2023, and that should give me time to look for another ... read more

I told them upfront I needed a 125 gallon tank because my property could not accommodate anything larger. They told me no problem. Site surveyor comes out and tells me they don’t have that size tank and haven’t had them for four years. He also confirmed that I couldn’t have the larger size that they do have because my property can’t accommodate it. Duh!
