AmeriGas has the absolute worst customer service in the ****** When calling, it is impossible to get someone who speaks proper english, their call center is in ****** and no one is capable of scheduling a pickup of their propane tank. I purchased my home over 8 months ago from an estate, and after monthly calls I am told every time that they need proof of the previous owners DEATH before they could make any notes and schedule a tank pickup. I will make sure to tell everyone in my area NOT TO USE AMERIGAS.
I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 11 YEARS. HOWEVER THIS VERY COLD WINTER HAS BROUGHT OUT THE TRUE COLORS OF THIS COMPANY. MY HOME IS 100% HEATED BY PROPANE. MY 1ST TANK WAS ON ZERO AND THE 2ND ON 10%. I BEGGED THEM TO UP MY DELIVERY DATE DUE TO 3 DEGREE NIGHTS AND POINTED OUT I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TO LAST TILL MY 3 WEEK DELIVERY. I called Amerigas on 1/19/26 to deliver as I was at 20% in tank . Scheduled the delivery between 1/27-1/30. I called on 1/30 as I hadnt gotten the notification for delivery and an ice storm was coming in and temperatures were going down to about 10 degrees . I was told they would be there by end of day but did not show up. Over the next 10 days I called 21 times and always got a foreign person that I could barely understand from a call center . Hopefully people will take a moment to review this company before willing becoming a customer. The below comments are accurate! Worst call center ***** can hardly speak English). This company does NOT deserve to have any customers whatsoever. Those they do have receive ZERO customer service. This is not to say that the actual service techs that have the unfortunate job of dealing with upset customers on-site are bad people. I'm saying that, you cannot talk to anyone that actually services your area, everything is handled overseas, nothing has ever been on-time (even though they give week long delivery or service periods), there is no coordination between departments, etc. The result is you, as a cust... read more
WE have been without a propane delivery now for 3 days. They say our delivery is marked urgent yet they have not showed. 8 calls were made to their terrible customer service system, which is totally annoying and useless. They have their calls set up like a wall protecting their real reps. ********** to reach and talk to their local office who would be making your delivery. No one cares we have been without heat. The worst customer service, they should be ashamed!
I am giving 1 star because zero is not an option. My mother has been a customer with ******* for over 20 years. Apparently ******* has either been bought out by Amerigas, or has merged with them, The chat communication tonight with an agent has been the most straightforward and helpful than has been with any of our calls. After communicating that I was the legal guardian of my mother who has dementia, they provided me with her account numbers, without having to pull teeth. Although we reported that our propane level was low (approximately 30% left in our tank), Amerigas was unable to schedule a timely refill, and then they MISSED their delivery window. We are now using electric heat instead of propane (due to lack of propane gas). Amerigas cannot even tell us WHEN they will be able to deliver more propane.
I wish I knew what it was like to work somewhere I can hide behind a call center. I have been without heat for over a week. I was supposed to get my tank swapped and refilled yesterday. No calls. No messages. No emails. No one shows up. I call my service coordinator and leave several messages. Again, no response. I call my providers office. Again, straight to the call center.
