We have had service with your company for years and years. I would say we're loyal customers. On *******, 2026 we had our tank topped off. On Feb. 7th after getting home from work I smelled the smell of gas (rotten eggs). We could not figure where it was coming from. Didn't seem to be the logs or the tank. Only smelled it strongly in my bedroom, which is closest to the tank. I immediately called Amerigas emergency number. As we waited I still searched for the cause and finally as I moved some clothese to be washed I found a ... read more

I bought a house in the fall of 2020. Amerigas had a propane tank on the property from the previous owner and wished to change propane suppliers. In order to remove tank they want to charge me $499.00 to which according to their residential customer agreement (4. Leased Equipment) " that if you sell your property you will notify company at least 30 days in advance and will inform buyer that leased equipment is owned by the company (Amerigas). I was not informed of this requirement and did not request a refill until August of... read more

Our local company was bought out a few times and eventually we ended up with Amerigas. Same nice guy delivering, and I thought the cost of propane was just up like everything else. Then, my renter smelled something suspicious and we called to have it checked out. I didn't think they charged for that, but I got a bill. OK. The shocking part was learning that charge was over SEVEN TIMES what the local company charges for a house call, and that I had been paying DOUBLE the per gallon rate. A year and a half after my last delive... read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I canceled my accounts I had 3. Im changing because their customer service is terrible. They are charging me 419$ for removing each tank. The only time I ever talked to anyone that could do anything over the phone was when I canceled my accounts. This is a poor excuse for a company. If you need propane save yourself a lot of headache and DO NOT USE THEM.

Called for emergency refill because our gauge was broken and the tank was completely empty. House runs almost entirely on propane, so the delivery was critical. Especially with a newborn in the home. ********* charged us an emergency fee of $300, said they would be out within 24 hours and we had to be home for the delivery. Nothing in the first day (Friday) (no contact either) called several times on the status after 24 hours had passed. **************** could not provide us with any answers, just that the delivery was sched... read more

They made an agreement with my property manager to use this crappy service, and now I am stuck with them. It costs almost $5 per gallon plus fees to have delivered, plus rental fees that's almost $200 every year, plus test fees that if their equipment screws up, you got to pay for the test not them! They say you use propane in the middle of summer, even though your stove is electric! Then the worst part, they want to charge you $500 plus to have them remove their own tanks from your home so you can go to another better compa... read more

I have lived within a community since 2015 that Amerigas place their gas tanks in the ground back in 2002 when the community was being built. Over the past several years, they have started charging a tank rental fee that is, now, over $170 yearly. Even tried buying the 20+ year old tank thinking it we be wise but, they wanted to charge me $2500 for it which is the same cost of a brand new one. I have had many conversations and disputes over this annual fee because I never signed an agreement stating that I agree with paying ... read more

I have been a loyal AmeriGas customer for 14 years, and this recent experience proves that loyalty means nothing to them. After losing my job, I called to request that an emergency propane delivery fee be waived. I explained to the representative that we were completely out of propane and I have children in the home, yet the answer was still a flat no.The reason? I am a will call customer, not enrolled in automatic delivery. I even told her that I guess I simply havent contributed enough to AmeriGas because I dont pay automa... read more

ZERO STAR RATING!! DO NOT use this company. I got stuck with them because they bought out my previous gas company. They charge exorbitant prices for propane and the customer service is horrible. You can only speak to people in *****! No local office customer support. You make an appointment and they call you the morning of to cancel. I rescheduled and they said they would arrive between 7-12. Its 2 and no one has called or arrived. I have had to pay a service charge to a HVAC company that showed up to test my furnace only to... read more
