I agreed to $44 per month since I could not afford the deposit of $500. Now, they are debiting my checking account today for $118. I live on SS and cannot afford more than $50. I never agreed to this. They don't care. I will be filing with Public Service Commission. Terrible company.

I canceled Amerigas service they told me they will charge me $300 pick tank (120lb) and canceling fee $140 which is I nerve agreed. I told them I will deliver the tank to them and they refused.second day they took that tank. I feel they have no right charge that high price. The reason for cancel this company service that is I am always been charged at much higher price than the market price for their propane. They gave each customer different prices. I have been a customer of ******************************************* since 1999, and due to the increase in propane prices and high rental fees on the equipment I decided to go with another vendor and close my account with **********************. I called Amerigas this winter and asked them not to deliver my auto delivery. We only used our ski house twice this winter but had already been filled several times for well over $1,000. They agreed to not fill it, but then filled it and billed us for over $500. When I called, the agent said "Oh no, I see you called. You won't be billed for that." I am a new customer who purchased a home with a previously leased Amerigas tank. I called to set up a new lease account and paid $250 to establish the account. My tank was almost empty upon setting up the account. ********************** came out to do their "safety check" and confirmed I will need a new tank in approximately six months. I have been an AmeriGas customer since 2006 and to say that anything they offer is customer service is an absolute joke. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The only reason I stuck with them for so long is because no other service was available to me in my area. Their per gallon amount is almost $2.50 higher than the company I just signed up with, and this is the rate for a customer who has been with them for literal decades. Worst company and customer service. Was a customer for 13 years (way too long). This spring I was quoted $4.85 per gallon so I started calling around switched to a local company that charged me $1.88 per gallon. Called Amerigas to come pick up their empty tank (this actually took 4 phone calls, two emails, an online chat, and about 90 minutes of gold time on the phone) and they are charging me a pick up fee of $420. If you move into a house with an Amerigas tank, switch immediately

Amerigas doesn't deserve a 1 star, it deserves 0 stars. The worst company you will ever encounter. Just don't put yourself though the pain. What to expect, hours on the phone waiting to talk to someone, multiple calls and waiting to resolve concerns, and when you finally say enough is enough, expect a bill of $430+ for them to come to your house and pickup their tank which takes all of 15 minutes to load. All other propane companies in my area charge $129 (a normal fee). In my opinion, that are fraudulent and their practices... read more
