I was referred by a long-time patient & friend to take my dog who seems to have an eye infection. This would be our first time going to AHOC and let's just say i never actually even made it in to see the vet. Front desk was atrociously rude (the lady with the purple hair, to be exact). If I could give a negative 1 review I would.. I brought my cat in for issues with his eye and possible uti. I knowing my cat he doesn't like ANY vet he gets mean. They took him to the back and I warned them he is mean.. COULDNT GET HIM OUT OF HIS CARRIER. First time I've ever come across this with any vet I've gone to. Called his vet and they referred me to a different emergency vet. THEY GOT HIM OUT OF HIS CARRIER AND COST LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE. And he did only have a UTI. I would give zero or negative stars if I could. We brought in a stray baby kitten for a wellness exam. Vet said kitten was a little skinny but overall looked healthy and would be fine with rest, food, and water. Just to be safe, we opted for bloodwork and scheduled kitty's shots. Within a few hours of arriving home, the kitten passed away. Either kitten was in worse shape than the the vet said he was or they did an inadequate evaluation and completely missed red flags. So I went back today to get the cydelpoint shot for my 9 year old dog as well as the Required blood test for the apoquel Prescription. My appointment with the technician was at 9:15 am she told me they should have sold me the 100 pills prior to the blood test since they have renewed the prescription several times for my dog. After many years of taking my dog here, I sadly had to leave due to the fact that they are negligent and don't seem to pay attention to what is going on with their patients. It's too long of a story to type here and I don't want to waste my time or energy, but Dr. Kramer dropped the ball on my dogs lab results and claimed she remembered what she told me over the phone over a year ago ( which is quite impressive being that she's talked to hundreds of pet owners). I was shocked beyond words when I took my puppy in for an emergency and they told me that the clinic's owner, Dr.Johnson, had marked my chart as "no service". She turned us away in a crisis. I went to their clinic many times and spent hundreds of dollars on my last dog. I had purchased a package of laser treatments for him, and then he passed away. We have been taking our dogs to Anaheim Hills Pet Clinic for a few years now. However, its time to find a new vet because they have changed. They just don't seem to care about anything other than money. I called and asked how much it would cost to get an influenza shot for our girls. I was told $45 for each dog. We would have to make our appointment and come back in a couple of weeks for a booster. I'm thinking this is the same as getting a Covid shot. You get the first dose and then go back for the second. We explained how we quote our prices "per injection per visit" as is the case with most clinics. We don't quote for both vaccines, as sometimes not everyone comes in for the second. Follow up because the truth dosent like, stating i "deleted " a previous review is wrong because both are up. I never received a call with lab results. I had to follow up with an email to get a full copy of " medical records" . Asked for a refund for not getting the right diagnosis sounds about right. There's a difference between caring about said animal or peoples pets and caring about the money $. As I posted before that you deleted on your original post, I have fully reviewed Luka's case and the doctor was absolutely correct in the diagnosis. She called you within 3 days of the culture (with in the 3-5 day window that she said it would take) to let you know there was no bacterial growth. After over three years with this vet, it is time to move on. We became frequent fliers here last year because one of our dogs was having major issues. The doctor my husband saw wasn't very informative and didn't provide any kind of answer for what was going on. Of course my husband isn't as vocal as I am, so I ended up going back and seeing the same doc again.
