This clinic doesn't even deserve one star. Yelp won't let me post a comment unless I at least give one star. This clinic gouges you for the most money they can get from you. They prey on your fear, worry, hopelessness and ignorance. They push unnecessary labs and tests knowing they could give your pet the one medication he/she needs to start feeling better. My pet checked all the boxes for one infection, but because their Criticalist had never seen a case for this infection before, they didn't want to start the medication ne... read more

My Yorkiepoo got cut on Saturday, the vet sent him home with 8 staples!( They charged me $400 for....bad move on their part; I'm not a veterinarian!) I trusted them to take care of my baby! We did EVERYTHING they told us to do! Wednesday all the staples fell out! When he should have just got structures to begin with! Charged me another $400 to do the same thing 4 days later! I would have NEVER even taken him there if it wasn't an EMERGENCY!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I deal with people everyday! We are in a worst position... read more

Avoid this place at any cost and if your pet is in dire need of emergency services, try to find another clinic in Castle Rock, Aurora, or even drive to Wheat Ridge. ER Vet Amelia Andersen is like a lemon car salesman, she'll tell you how your dog needs to have this "life-saving emergency surgery or she'll die now," and pay tons of money for it on the spot, doesn't mention or discuss any risks and concerns, and while poor dog successfully undergoes the surgery, she died after surgery under Amelia Andersen's care because of he... read more

So. If you want your pet who is in an emergency situation to die, this is the place. Our dog was in the middle of a heart attack, stroke, seizure. We called ahead advising we were in an emergency situation. We arrived. Nothing. I carried my 80 pound dog in who was lifeless. Nothing. The 4 receptionists just sat there checking out their customers and collecting money. They said we'll get to you. Felt like it was 2am in the heart of Chicago versus Friday at 5pm in Parker. Turns out, it was a seizure. My dog came t... read more

Took my dog in for an emergency surgery and the intern who checked me out had no clue if he had to return to have his stitches out or not and nobody could give me anymore information. I called back to schedule a follow up with the oncology department and they couldn't get us in for a month after the surgery. You would think if they are that backed up they would schedule your appointment while you are there knowing that we needed a follow up appt. I called to complain and I got a call back 10 days later after my dog had passe... read more

If you need to put your pet to sleep and if you have other options, please avoid going to the Animal Emergency & Specialty Center, 17701 Cottonwood Dr. We wanted someone from Caring Pathways to come to our home but we were forced to go to AESC because our 16 year old girl with aggressive cancer was having difficulty breathing. We called AESC from the car on the way in the middle of the night. The person we spoke to said they'd be prepared for our arrival and have the syringe ready to go. Once there we had to explain why ... read more

My 22 year old son takes his new kitty to this place.... Wanted 5,600.00 for an emergency surgery (on a cat that was 4 months old) now...my son calls me because he doesn't have this type of money! What 22 year old has 5,600.00 for a cat surgery. I told my son pay to put him down if it cost that much. My son went to another vet....total cost 1,300.00 They kept on calling him (truly they called me 5 times in a 7 min span.....they had the wrong number) and putting old time pressure techniques to get him to flip the 5,600.00. ... read more

I would think twice about taking your furry friends to this facility! My dog who is 1.5 years old, 5lb Yorkie was showing signs of pain/discomfort in her hind legs, hip area. After taking her in and $247 later, they stated, these dogs commonly have a genetic disorder in they're spine. And they said to look out for neurological issues. She was prescribed Prednisone for 3 weeks, Gabapentin for pain, and a sedative Trazadone every 8 hours.lots of medicine for a little dog. I administered these once and after sitting with my... read more

This place is careless, heartless and despicable. My Wife and I took our poor little Maltese Loki who was attacked by a much larger dog. We told the staff and they "said" they performed an indepth evaluation(lies). They cleaned and dressed his leg and told us to come back in the morning when staff would be availiable to do more. So on the next morning we brought loki back and they informed us that only 1 bite was there and required Loki to lose his toe....$1266 dollars late his toe was removed and we left believing things wo... read more
