Unfortunately my poor little Maltese had a mass on his back that we noticed in December and it needed to be removed, so we went in on January 19th 2021. Dr Heffernan did the surgery. And I'm happy to report my little guy is recovering well today almost a week later. Dr Heffernan is very compassionate and professional and I feel really good at answering all my questions, and keeping me abreast of what was going on. I had to put my cat Snuffle to sleep. It was the hardest decision I had to make. The people here were compassionate and extremely kind. They let me hold him in a family area on a couch and were very gentle with him. I will never go anywhere else as both my cats were taken very good care of by them and I greatly appreciate them helping me through one of the hardest days of my life..

Took my cat here for a severe ear infection and Dr. Diamond and her tech were awesome. When they did the exam they were super personable and made sure to let me know all options - plus they let me know how my cat was behaving during the exam (nice touch during covid while owners wait in their cars during appointments). Day of is his surgery they kept in touch throughout the day, sent a follow up email (with surgery pics), clear discharge instructions and took excellent care of my furball. Went in yesterday with my puppy maverick. He had some bites on his ears and face from a fight with another dog and was really shookin up. A nurse by the name of Alba came and brought him in. I later got a call that he was being aggressive too the rest of the staff except her. They were able to mildly sedate him to clean his wounds all while on her lap. I had to take my dog on Saturday and again today. He needed to see a specialist, so AESC didn't charge me for today's emergency appointment. Thank you for caring for my baby.

I thought it was important to leave a review. I know a lot of people are having a difficult time with their vets & staff during COVID-19. A lot of people do not understand how hard it actually is and how many times a day the staff is being yelled at. Last night we had to put our cat down. Not the way I was planning on saying goodbye. We actually said our goodbyes at home but the staff was very nice and very sympathetic. I almost never write reviews, but we had the absolute best experience with Animal Emergency and Specialty Center And wanted to share. I have a Chocolate Lab with diabetes and due to a miscommunication with my husband we accidentally gave him a double dose of insulin. I was told to bring him in immediately. Animal Emergency Center had a very well designed process for doing curbside drop off to reduce the risk associated with COVID 19. These people were the absolute best. My mom had to put her dog down, she had a heart condition and was barely able to move. The doctors and nurses were so compassionate and gentle with her and with us. They allowed us time with her before she passed and took the utmost care with her, even after she was gone. My mom receive a very sweet card with her ashes a week later. Even amid the COVID crisis, these people have not lost their empathy and we appreciated that very much.

The vet and staff were great. Very nice and really cared about our dog. I would highly recommend them!
