There was a server whose voice carried throughout the room at a loud level. Our server seemed nonchalant and unfortunately he was training a new employee. They tried to clear plates while we were still eating. we requested as item before our dinner came to table and received it after a 2nd request when we finished our meals. I love the ambience and vibe of Arnettes! I think it is a great place for light apps and drinks at the bar and will certainly return for that reason, but the food is just lacking to me. The last time I dined here I got the dover sole which I order often at other places without issue and it was so fishy, I couldn’t finish the dish. Arnette's, I so badly wanted to be wowed. I feel terrible writing a bad review on a restaurant knowing that at present it's hard to find employees. However, I had two choices of where to eat on our anniversary and my husband wanted Bones and ultimately I chose Arnette's Chop Shop and we both left disappointed. It was really noisy
Arnette's has a great atmosphere and the layout of the building is fantastic with great outdoor seating, upstairs bar and more. The location is cool as it's off the beaten path in the north Buckhead/Brookhaven neighborhood area, which makes it kind of unique. My wife and I had the Spinalis, which was great. Disappointed with the brussel sprouts as they were steamed or something. We were served a shrimp plate that we didn't order and the waiter said he'd take it off the bill... they didn't. We were sat and then no one came to even offer water for 15 minutes, had to track down a hostess for service; drinks then took another 15-20 minutes; very undercooked steak; other food had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while before being delivered so it was dry, room temp; waiter did not have on a mask and was talking and hovering directly over drinks and food; for a $500 meal, this was absolutely unacceptable.
