My daughter went for simple cleaning and they want to charge her $135.00 when she looked the invoice it was for a toothbrush. Also, they want to do some work on her mouth that she didn't ask or need it.
Aspen dental is the typical corporate America profit center. You get a "call center" to get an appointment. No more personal appointment. They have to SEE you first to do an exam instead of getting a cleaning the same day. Can we say "sales opportunity"? Aspen Dental Incorrectly billed me and my insurance company on the following dates 5-16-17, 9-18-17, 1-22-18,7-27-18. Each time I was billed for Perio Maintenance instead of a general cleaning, I have never needed nor received Perio Maintenance. I have been working to resolve this issue for months now with Apsen without avail. My insurance has denied coverage for this service due to the fact that i never had nor needed perio work. I refused to allow them to perform a Panoramic X-Ray, I did not have a problem with taking the regular X-rays for my routine cleaning that I scheduled with the clinic. I told them I was not having any issues just needed a cleaning. One of the doctor told me that she requires a panoramic X-ray, I said no I didn't want a panoramic, the doctor made an insulting comment: strange! And stormed out of the room. Crooked business. The dentist saw me for 5 minutes after making me wait for 45 min. Sent me to their billing person who tried to tell me I needed $2000 in services. I declined their offer made an appointment with a legitimate dentist who charged me $250 and spent a good amount of time discussing my dental health and options moving forward.
I went in for a retreatment of an old root canal. They sat me down and told me that it was pre approved by my insurance company. A few weeks after the procedure I was informed that my insurance company would not pay because it was a re-treat. I got a $2000+ bill and told them to fight it. They tried twice and then informed me that they don't cover re-treats and I am responsible for the bill. They gave me a $1000 discount over the phone, but never sent me the new bill. Oakridge Aspen Dental - Terrible, Absolutely Awful, The Worst Dental Office Ever!!! I removed my bad feedback and now I am adding it back. I went in for my first appt, told them on the phone I had pain in my gum, not tooth. I wanted to have a dentist look it. $20.00 first ov with no insurance sounded good. WRONG! They would do nothing for me. Refused to look at the tooth, was told they could see everything from xray showing cavities. After having kidney surgery I decided to do something for myself. Because I had had a couple of teeth fall out I decided I would just get dentures and then all my teeth would be straight and look good. Going there was the worst mistake I have ever made ! The dentists pulled teeth that didn't need to be pulled , I could have used a denture that had clasps to go over my still good teeth. 0 stars!used to like this place now they just suck...again cancelled my apt after months of waiting after last cancelled apt and again lied about trying to contact me...no solutions just same old boo woo story...wheres the custumer focus?.tried to complain to main office and loops back to this place...was able to get an apt another place in under 2 weeks...hoping my insurance will no longer consider them prefered....
