I was unable to get an appt to my usual dentist last week for a cleaning so I scheduled with Aspen for a cleaning for the very next day. My last dentist appt with my regular dentist was just back in April 2017- this year which then they discovered I had a touch of gingivitis and I needed to do something about it quick and make sure Im flossing and making reg dentist visits before it evolves to something more sinister like periodontal disease. NOT ALL ASPENS CREATED EQUAL! Gave me a bloated treatment plan with a root planing and scaling, so I got my teeth cleaned at MCPHS and they said I DID NOT need the root planing and scaling. I called them for an emergency and told me I had to pay for a crown that they couldn't have known I needed - you get a crown AFTER your root canal, which hadn't even been determined was necessary. The office person was like a Mafia henchmen, they just want your money at this location.
Have had several dentures made by qualified experienced Doctors over the years. When I was due to have new ones there was an Aspen clinic that opened nearby. I figured their commercials were pretty impressive so I'll give them a try. It was apparent right from the beginning that the Doc had very little experience.Also, there was a guy that would on occasion check on the dentist and advise him on any tweaking that needed to be done. do not go there!!!! the call center gives you the wrong info!!!! they do not have an oral surgeon they put you through tests before they tell you they cant help you. stay away!!!!
This place is definitely a "chain" business. They operate like factory. 4 or more examining rooms and one doctor that goes from room, to room, to room working on clients. And a dental hygienist that does the same. I received a deep cleaning and was to get a filing after. Hygentist cleaned and said she would come back after my filing to give me an injection below the gum line to disolve some plaque that was found there. My husband had a bad tooth. I called Aspen in Glen Carbon, IL and they quoted 120.00 to pull the tooth. He went today and they told him he was in serious condition and needed 4 teeth pulled along with other work. He told them he only wanted the tooth causing the pain pulled. They put him in a private office like room and gave him about 4 pages of a care plan. The total was about 1700.00 and they wanted him to pay then for work he didn't need or want. I went to the Woburn location for a couple years and had no issues until I changed jobs. They were still in-network for my new insurance provider. They keep sending me a claim for a cleaning I had 4 months ago, and referring to the terminated coverage from my previous job and insurance provider. After four months and 4-5 phone conversations with Aspen Dental at Woburn, their claims department still insists that I have no insurance coverage. After moving to Greater Boston, I was in need of a dentist after not seeing one in the course of my two moves out east from Chicago. I should have checked out the Yelp reviews prior to selecting Aspen Dental as my dentist. I work in the office park behind the Woburn location, and felt that being close to work would be a time saver. However what I learned was the doctor-patient relationship is just as important as location and convenience. Never Again , by far the most horrifying dental experience of my life, from the minute you leave you feel they are after your wallet. the temp filling came of 3 times in one week . after thousands of dollars it took just 7 month the 2 filling came fell of , sever pain and still walking around with a temp crown , unlike the TV add they jacked up the price in the middle of the treatment and when i finally tried to voice out a complain i was treated with disrespect and never received a call back , the office manager was extreme... read more
