Flew from California to purchase a Tundra. Five days later, they told me that my check had a mistake and I needed to wire the money. This ended up being a two day process where they never verified that they received my funds. I have bought 3 vehicles from this place and this last purchase was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!! BOBBY FRIETZ was so nice in the beginning to get the sale. But it quickly changed after I bought my vehicle from him and he promised me a few repairs. He didn’t even do his math correct for my pay out to pay my loan on the vehicle I was going to trade in that his manager had to take over. This is a warning to anybody considering shopping for a car at Avondale Toyota. Way back in April I placed a deposit on a 2022 Camry hybrid. I was told by the sales manager, whilst there was no guarantee, I 'should' receive the vehicle by the beginning of July at the latest. In order to secure a vehicle, Toyota Avondale requested a $500 deposit. I kept checking in with the sales manager only to be told I was still on the waiting list. Awful. Couldn't give me a straight answer. Would not recommend working with this person. Very shady. He also tried telling me I would need to put $7000 down for a lease special that requires $2070 down.
I would rate my experience 0 stars if at all possible, but I can't. Frankly, the unprofessional manner in which this dealership wasted my time is beyond unacceptable, especially when I had called multiple times before hand to confirm what was going on. They wasted hours of my time in trying to purchase a car and I will leave reviews everywhere explains this manner.
