the best restaurant in Milwaukee ... love this place ... never disappoints!
The service was excellent and the Easter brunch at Bacchus was among the best I've ever eaten. I'll be making reservations for Mother's Day next weekend.
The service was attentive and thorough. Brian and Doug were personable, informative, and went beyond all expectations. Beautiful atmosphere-tasteful, monochromatic, modern design with comfortable chairs and banquette seating. We were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and chose Bacchus having seen the chef featured on "Wisconsin Foodie" on public TV. We shared some of the creative Small Plates-marinated olives, lamb tenderloin, spring pea soup, and artichoke salad-each beautifully presented and prepared with seasonal i... read more
Perfect in almost every way. The only misstep was when we arrived: There was no one to greet us for several minutes, and then no one seemed to have a clear idea about how to access the coat check--in lobby, through hostess. Why the confusion? It was in the 40s outside. The food, however, was heavenly.
Music was way too loud - they needed to turn it down a bit. Had to talk very loudly for my husband to even hear me and vice versa. Kind of put a bit of a damper on the dining experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants -- too bad we live in Chicago and can't get up to Milwaukee more often. Excellent entree dishes, and terrific, different small plate choices (we tried mussel risotto and the spinach risotto fritters -- both yum!) Our server was great -- knowledgeable, and there to check on us but not intrusive. Very classy dining room with lovely finishes and mirrors -- center columns divide the tables and help keep the feeling of intimacy in the large room. The big bar adjacent to the dining room is l... read more
This was the best meal we have had in Milwaukee. The service was exceptional--polite, very friendly, and attentive. And the food was fantastic, delicious, fresh flavors--excellent tagliatteli, green pea soup, and polenta appetizers, followed by a lovely lamb tenderloin. The only dish that wasn't fabulous was the short-rib, which was a bit over-salty. Deserts were also exceptional.
I have yet to experience anything less than a perfect evening with a Bartolotta restaurant. I took my parents to Bacchus to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary and everything was just wonderful: the service team, the wine, the amazing seafood...all combined for an evening to remember.
A very good experience and where we go for special occasions. Service was impeccable...friendly but unobtrusive and always aware of our table. Several nice birthday "treats". Food was wonderful and the kitchen put together a nice veggie dish for my wife. Well done!
