My fiance and I are so thrilled to have our little labrador around the corner from this incredible vet clinic. The receptionists are all very friendly and we have one hundred percent confidence in the doctors. Our pup continually receives top treatment and the doctors go out of their way to check up on his post-appointments. We feel so blessed to have our dog receive such fine care. The credibility of these doctors is unbelievable-- all very well educated and extremely thorough in their work. We love Back Bay Vet and so does... read more

I am a first time dog owner, and have been taking my cockapoo puppy to Back Bay Vet since May 2012. I have been extremely happy with the care, both routine and emergency that our dog has received at Back Bay Vet. Every person I have come in contact with, from the front desk staff, to the technicians, to the veterinarians has been incredibly warm and caring. Since I have a smaller dog, I have had several discussions regarding timing of vaccines, and felt that the doctors valued my concerns, and helped me to make a decision ... read more

And if I could give more stars I would! I came to Back Bay after a very negative and traumatic experience from my last Vet (in fact, the last three were basically sub-par), so I was resigned to having another less than stellar vet experience. Because of the last vet, my 17 year old cat Jeff fought getting in the carrier and cried the entire way to BBV. Truthfully he probably picked up on my stress as well. Enter BBV, I was cheerfully greeted by the receptionist who knew my name and Jeff's, it just went up from there and my ... read more

I love BBVC. I brought my first kitty, Gretchen, here after having a check up at a different clinic. Gretchen is missing a bone in her foot so she looks like she has a perma gimp, after an incredibly traumatic interaction with our initial vet (called her a genetic mutant and then tried to unbend her foot!!!!!) I brought her to BBVC and have not looked back. Dr. Torres reassured me that there was nothing wrong with her foot, that she was not a genetic mutant, and has taken such great care of my little girl. She was super help... read more

I've been to vets all up and down the east coast and this is hands down the most sincere, caring and competent care my pets and I have been given. The vets and techs are knowledgeable, articulate and compassionate- I have found that great animal doctors often lack great people skills- this is not the case at Back Bay Veterinary Clinic. My two year old cat went in for the first time for what ended up being a blockage due to something he ate; they performed immediate (successful) surgery. The only time I got nervous was whe... read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. This vet is magical. My dog is terrified of the vet and would go into scared and defensive mode every time we would bring her. We switched to back bay vet when we moved to the neighborhood and they changed everything. Everyone here is so friendly, the drs are smart, nice, and amazing with the dogs. She didn't try to nip the dr, was responsive, and not too scared. No one was ever able to cut her nails, these guys did it with no problem. Recommended 100%

I have taken my dog Nikki to Back Bay Veterinary Clinic for 8 years and I have never been disappointed. The Doctors and staff are universally caring, considerate and professional. Today they completed Nikki's first teeth cleaning ever and I was a nervous wreck about her going under anesthesia as she has a heart condition. They took the time to explain the procedure and administered a series of tests to ensure she would tolerate the surgery well. They were communicative and reassuring before, during and after the procedur... read more

Let me start by saying, I rarely, if ever, write reviews, however, I feel compelled to do so today. My pup has been going to back bay vet clinic for several years. I rescued a 5 yr old dog, and sadly, lost him just before xmas. Back Bay Vet Clinic saw him throughout his short life since I adopted him. This included multiple visits, including one housecall because of a cut paw, which they saw to and sutured in my living room. When my dog got very sick, they were amazing with him. They followed up every visit, explain... read more

This is the only place I will take my dogs from now on. They are so wonderful and actually care about your pet as an individual and take the time to get to know them as well as you. We just took our new rescue pup in and it turns out she has a lot of health issues that we weren't aware of and our doctor is committed to helping us get the best care and is very dedicated to helping us maintain a reasonable cost while still providing the best care available. I love them!
