I will first start by saying that I have never taken the time to write a review for ANYTHING and felt that I absolutely had to for Back Bay Vet. I recently adopted a cat from Animal Rescue League and two weeks later brought her to the vet there for an initial checkup. During the visit I was told that they heard a heart murmur (Which had not been disclosed to me upon adoption). The vet there basically said she had a murmur, needed a costly echo and that if the cat had cardiac disease would need to be on meds. She did not take... read more

I have wanted to write this review since I left our first visit in January, but every time I sat down to do it, it always felt substandard. It really comes down to this: you could not bring your pet to better humans than those at Back Bay Vet. They hashtag many of their Instagrams with #allcreaturesgreatandsmall and you feel that sentiment all around you when you're there. From the people who check you in, to the techs, and the doctors, you will not find more patient, friendly, animal-respecting people in Boston. They too... read more

These are the best people one could ask for in a vet. Our dog Mako actually WANTS to go here because they treat him so well. He literally tries to run up there stairs every time we walk by the front steps (we live across the street). The Vets and technicians/nurses (not sure what they're called) are amazing. They all genuinely love him and put up with his antics. Scheduling is easy and they work to accommodate everything you need. Thank you guys!

I have been taking my two dachshunds to BBV since I moved to the neighborhood in September of 2014. It's definitely the nicest vets office that I've ever been to. (It's actually cleaner than my own dentist's office.) Dr. Jou and the staff are so polite and really taken the time to explain what's going on with our dogs. They have great bedside manner. I'm a student and not wealthy like the majority of the people in this neighborhood so I always ask them for estimates before agreeing to any procedures, and they have never made... read more

Dr. Fanous and the team here are amazing. My wife and I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a vet. We took our Bengal to the Back Bay Vet Clinic after he was acting strangely. Feeling like he was somehow poisoned, we rushed him to the clinic and Dr. Fanous knew the breed well, and took great care of him. Over his entire stay, my wife and I felt comfortable leaving him in the hands of the folks here. Turned out the cat ate some Silical Gel beads and did indeed poison himself, but the doc got him fixed up and our... read more

I am such a fan of this vet clinic. They cared for my last dog for 13 years and even though it isn't convenient to where I live now I still bring my almost 3 year dog here for everything. The doctors are compassionate and experienced and I have always loved bringing our dogs here. What teaches you a lot about a vet clinic is how they treat your pet when she is in a crisis and as she ages and before she dies. The founder Dr. Bendock held my pup and I on the floor when our first dog needed emergency stomach surgery. Dr. Waisbu... read more

This place is so convenient, less than five minutes from Hynes Convention center t stop. I was scheduled same day for my sick cat. The technician was lovely as was the doctor (though they both kept repeating the same question, which was frustrating). My cat needed surgery, which they provided. My only problem is that they aren't a 24 hour facility so there is a chance I have to take my cat to another hospital since he has to stay overnight. Their overnight boarding fee is quite expensive for having no one stay with the anima... read more

Many kudos to Dr. Satchu, Dr. Torres, Jamei, Alison and the rest of the staff at the clinic for their consistent care and professionalism. It's very comforting to know you can always count on them to take excellent care of your furry family member.

I visited earlier in the week and I couldn't be happier with care my dog received. Dr. Carry was great and even called us from her personal phone to check in after hours. Everyone was very personable and friendly. I would highly recommend them!
