All staff are wonderful. I enjoy the activities. Easy to eat together. Residents feel like family. Transportation is helpful and excellent. I enjoy the whole life here.
I work in the senior industry and am very familiar with the communities in the area. Bartlett Reserve is one of the best. It's a smaller community and there is definitely a sense of family there. The Executive Director has been there a long time and truly cares about the residents and the community and is actively involved in the day-to-day operations. Bartlett Reserve (BR) is a hidden gem in Durham. Great community, great residents, and great staff.
A very friendly community of residents. Resident or visitor-walk into the lobby, activity area, etc. and staff or resident greet you. Makes for a homey feeling which is very nice.

We chose Bartlett Reserve because when we went to tour, all of the residents were telling us how much they loved it there and had moved from other facilities. They were all very friendly and it was a diverse crowd. The apartment sizes are nice for a single person, they have 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms available. The staff are very accommodating and they are a pet friendly facility. I would recommend to others looking.
This community is very nice and friendly. The prices are reasonable for the services that you receive. I would highly recommend. Some of the activities that I have participated in are the fitness center and some birthday celebrations.
Our family had an in person tour and Bartlett is a converted hotel so the layout was really nice. However, the rooms were like a hotel suite, very small. They did not offer full sized kitchens, one room we saw just had a microwave and two-burners, and did not have enough room for a washer and dryer. If the accommodations would of worked out here, this would of been our top choice because we really liked the staff.
We are like a big family — who are loved and cared for by our housekeepers up to management. It's not perfect, but all here, have had to make changes and chose this place to live and wish to continue to live here.
