Very disappointed in the food. Had the pasta with clams. Only four very small clams in shells plus the pasta in a wine sauce.. Not much to eat but the pasta which was just okay. Husband had the oxtail. The flavor lacked intensity. Tasted more like a pot roast. Would have liked a bigger portion. The service was very good.
Waiter accidentally spilled my wine all over me, they brought me a new dinner but didn’t bring a new glass of wine until we asked for it and the waiter didn’t really even oseem to care that he spilled the wine but the manager should have come over snd apologized but they both seemed so embarrassed that they ruined the evening. Great spot/ good food/ terrible service!
Sadly, our annual dinner at Outermost got cancelled because of Covid so we were scrambling for dinner reservation. I felt lucky when I saw one reservation available at Bettini based on the reviews. I would never go again. The food was practically tastelessness. I ordered the Waygu burger with all the fixings…it was so dripping in grease that the bottom bun was dissolving and even with that…there was no flavor. We arrived for a 21st Birthday family dinner. Received absolutely awful service, no water refill or asked us if we needed another glass of wine. Sat with empty dinner plates while all the workers chatted with each other, place was empty as it was a late seating. Asked another waiter to get our waitress and by now we had been sitting for 20-25 min with empty dinner plates. I don't expect this level of lack of service from an upscale establishment. So many flaws. This place is a machine trying to make money. First they texted at 1 minute past our reservation time. Then they asked 4 demographic questions when we arrived. Then a standard cocktail was way off and when we sent it back with instructions to just make it exactly as the formula in the bartender's guide, the bar tender sent the poor server back to ask what was wrong with it (a lot). Very disappointing
We've eaten at Bettini and it's predecessor several times. This visit lacked professionalism with a delivered cold meal, improperly poured drinks for kids and aggregiously delayed overall delivery. The manager waived one meal. Once the cold meal was returned the waitress became very silent and never returned for 25 minutes. The Harbor View was once a fan favorite but not so much now on Martha's Vineyard. We hope the restaurant flow improves compared to past years.

Great location but food was just ok. Penne a la vodka was nothing special. Service was not great. Long wait in between drinks, food and an offer of dessert..too bad as we had high hopes.
