We spent most of our dinner experience waiting or asking for our waiter to take our order, to bring bread to refill our water/my husbands wine. I am pregnant and my water glass remained empty more than it had water in it. I had to ask 3 times for water from other servers because our server was not in eyesight or checking on us. For a $300 dinner the complete lack of service and spending most of our time asking other servers for assistance or to get our server - had a huge impact on our experience.
This has historically been one of our favorite restaurants. It seems as though they aren’t quite ready for summer. We were told to wait for our reservation in the lobby. 3 more groups sat before us and then we finally walked back over and they admitted they had forgotten they had sent us to wait in the lobby. Great ambiance sat at high tops very comfortable service was poor seems like many people around and not being managed food value is low my Sword fish was 5/8 inch thick maybe 5-6 ounces sitting on a bed of risotto that’s it $47 my wife halibut $51 had great plate presentation not sure worth in the 50,s the dessert a. Chocolate torta had very strange rubbery texture they have a lot of work to do each had drink $204 2 people plenty of places on MV to eat for$100 per plate better then this
One of the poorest dining experiences I have ever experienced. Limited staff expected to cover excessive number of tables, leaving the smaller two tops to little to no service. Food was mediocre at best. One meal not eaten due to poor preparation. Manager only came over to table when I asked for a pen to sign credit card receipt, and only then apologized. Top it off, credit card was not returned, which I did not notice until returning home. Will not be going back.
Very disappointing meal and very poor value. Both food and drinks were unappetizing.
We were seated a half hour late and were then there for 3 1/2 hours instead of the 90 minutes the reservation called for because the service was so dreadfully slow. Except for the butternut squash soup , the food was bland and mediocre. The portions were small (which we didn’t mind because the food was of such poor quality.)We had to ask for rolls, utensils,pepper —even gravy for the turkey! The food was average. Noting to write home about. Dinner for 2 (steak, shrimp, side, salad clam chowder wine and 2 mixed drinks with tip $280.00 Not worth the price. Nice place but for that price I would have expected much more. The filet was grilled, little or no flavor, the sauce was way, way too salty. My wife had a orzo and shrimp which was just ok. Server was nice but distracted. The bar was well stocked, and the bar tender was well versed, the drinks were ok. Very underwhelming.
Very slow service- was seated 30 minutes after our reservation time. Did not feel attended to. Had to ask for water and bread. Overall, not a great experience.
