One of the newest and cleanest Big Boys in Michigan. This Madison Heights location is ALWAYS busy, but rarely have a wait. I've been eating at Big Boy for nearly 30 years... This location has pretty solid food. Tasty breakfasts and pretty decent dinners. One thing I steer clear of is the chicken.. for some reason, I've had 2 or 3 different occasions at this Big Boy where my chicken was under-cooked! That will keep me away from ordering chicken from here on out but I still enjoy most other things on the menu.

This may be the cleanest, friendliest, and most magical Big Boy of them all! I have eaten here a few times and never have I had a problem or regret with a decision. The servers I have encountered take pride in their jobs, despite it being a staple entry level position for many in the world of food service. Once they even made me a triple-decker grilled cheese per request--for some reason it's no longer on the menu. I think their cabbage soup is delicious. Sure, the salad bar may only stock a spring mix/iceberg blend but all... read more

Sometimes I like the finer things in life. Other times I just want something normal and down to earth. For me, that's Big Boy. I grew up in a small town with few restaurants, but Big Boy was one of them. Going to Big Boy is like going home for a home cooked meal (especially when your mother doesn't cook much.) According to a server once, this is the busiest Big Boy in Michigan and it's easy to see why. The restaurant is decorated in a '50s diner motif. It's large, clean and bright. The menu is the standard menu of ... read more

Fries were cold and not cooked all the way through. Burger was sloppy with to much dressing everything slid off when picked up. Very shifty dinner. I pretty much waisted my money. You need to improve the cooking. Your cooks suck. And this isn't the first time. But it is the last. You just lost a customer.

I can't believe how terrible this experience was. I used to come here all the time when I was younger and never had any issues. But today was a nightmare. The food took forever to come out, my kids were exhausted from waiting over an hour. Even after the food finally arrived, my husband had to wait an additional 20 minutes for his salad. All he kept asking was when it would be ready, and if not, we could just cancel the order or take it to go. And to top it off, the worker was giving us attitude and yell at us. I tried to ta... read more

Stopped for brunch. My husband ordered Strawberry Pancakes Special a side of sausages and I ordered a Big Boy, salad and onion rings. Service was good except she forgot the sausages and we had to wait to get them. We are seniors and ended up with carry outs. As we were paying our bill which was over $30, I asked for a piece of strawberry pie to go because it was on special for $1.99. The hostess informed me that it would be $3.49 since we were carry outs. I informed her that we had already dined and were too full to eat it a... read more

Very bad experience! We arrived at 6:55 pm, waited probably 5 minutes before we were sat. All the employees were stand behind the counter laughing and talking to each other. That should have been our sign to turn around and leave but I really felt like their spaghetti. After we were finally sat we were placing our orders and I was informed they were out of spaghetti noodles but I could get penne pasta instead. No big deal until I asked for some tortilla soup as my side. Our waiter told me the salad bar closed at 7:00 and I c... read more

Service is horrible. Nobody greets you when you walk in and none of the employees running around want to look or acknowledge you. Once seated 10 minutes with no water or welcome so I left. This is not the Big Boy that I grew up going to.

Costumer service was terrible. Waitresss didn't even introduce hersel, seats dirt, minimal food portions. 0/10 do not recommend.
