My wife & I visit Mary about twice a month. She has been resident there since 2025 & has had rather a traumatic experience with her husband (who obviously did a lot for her) dying & losing her home. Her children live some distance away & her grandchildren (whom she brought up) are both very busy. She has a nice room & gets on very well with the staff who look after her very well.

The staff at Birkin Lodge provided thoughtful care for my mother in her final years. The atmosphere was calm and friendly. Communication was excellent. The food was good. Thank you to all for making her so comfortable.

All staff are very helpful and provide good care.They soon got to know my father's likes and dislikes.There are a good selection of activities on offer and families are encouraged to join their loved ones.It feels very homely.

My beloved grandmother recently came to live at Birkin Lodge, I was very impressed with the friendly staff, the fact that we are allowed to visit at anytime and the fun activities that were put on everyday - which we were able to join in with. We had food tasting, fun facts, quizzes, a BBQ in the garden, general fun. My grandmother, whom is over 100 years old is enjoying her stay immensely - especially the food which I have to say looks top notch. I have not rated some of the services simply because, as a volunteer visitor, with no specific person, friend or relative belonging to me here, I have not experienced some aspects of the home. I have no idea of the costs involved in being a resident here, so I cannot comment about value for money. However, the home has a good reputation in the area.

My experience here is very good, and I have not eaten so well sines I left home. I am not a good cook. ANd it clead up a lot of problems and geting the right pills Iam much helthy and beter here. Though it is my dream home. And dearly love the contnyou to live there.
