Cannot praise the ladies and gents at Birkin Lodge highly enough. They have been nothing more than accommodating during the whole covid-19 pandemic. Nothing is too much trouble and they deserve the highest recognition. A special mention goes to one lady in particular who has been outstanding. My father moved to Birkin Lodge just over a year ago and I have been generally very impressed with the care and services they provide. There are always staff around to ask any questions and dad’s room is kept clean and I believe he is well cared for. My dad doesn’t want to take part in any activities offered by the home, but the wonderful activities coordinator continues to encourage him to take part in the huge variety of activities she runs which is fantastic. Birkin Lodge is, overall, a very good care home for its residents. The carers are genuinely supportive of the residents and make sure their needs are met. Food and drink are of high quality. The tea round staff are friendly and efficient.

My Dad has been a resident here since May 2018. Since day one he has been made to feel totally at home. The staff are very caring and Dad has built up some good relationships with most of the staff. If we have had any issues with any aspect of his care, they have been dealt with very quickly, usually by the deputy manager.

Every time I visit the home, always met with warm hellos and a friendly atmosphere. The staff are always friendly in a professional way. The home is always clean and tidy, checked mother's room and found it is very clean. The home has always had a friendly and caring atmosphere, have not had any cause to raise any issues.
