Birkin Lodge seems to be a very good care home for my Mother. All her needs are taken care of. They provide everything and I feel reassured that my Mother is kept safe and well. The staff are more than helpful and my Mother seems very happy.

Care always excellent but after my Uncle was discharged from hospital Birkin Lodge's care was exemplary.

The staff have always been happy and friendly to me on my visits to Bikin Lodge. On most visits, I have been offered a cup of tea, along with the resident.

My mother has been a resident for about 20 months now. She now has a deterioration of her health. The staff are very helpful and always polite, they know my mothers needs etc. The home is clean and tidy and the food is good.

My mother-in-law was admitted for respite care however within 3 days she had decided to stay long-term. The team were absolutely superb - even my mother-in-law had been adamant at one stage that residential care was not for her, it was a complete turnaround! Within days her mood lifted and we saw a lady we hadn't seen in a few years - happy, relaxed - such a relief for her and us. We highly recommend.

All of us say we don't want to go into residential care but for some of us, it becomes the only solution. When this is the case, the person will either thrive or decline and much of this is determined by the attention and care they receive, particularly the time and attention. My father has thrived at Birkin Lodge as they have valued his personality and given excellent care. The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. It is warm and welcoming to visitors.
