Okay so this is the second time my family and I have tried this place and both time the service was very poor including the waitress makes political jokes and I really do not like it when the waitress has to give the person setting next to me there food over my food. Asked for the check twice waited 20 min and then went to the register to get our check and pay the bill. We ended up having 4 open face turkey dinners, I kind of thought the gravy was a little to salty, but I don't use extra salt in any of my food, so I'm a little bit sensitive to the salt. But over all Wes very happy with the food!

I ate Black Bear Diner on a business trip in Ca. I was impressed by the service and the food. I was excited that one was coming to Newberg Or. Unfortunately I have eaten there 3 times and each time my food was terrible,, honestly. I should have eaten fast food and had gotten equal quality. The last time which yesterday was the worst and will Never Eat there again.

We went on Sunday for mother's day. I was told it would be a 40 minute wait but ended up being a little over 1hour and 20 minutes. I became concerned since they were sitting groups of five that came in after us. Coffee cups went dry and had to wait for refills. I understand they could of been understaffed for the day, but that's not the experience you want to have when you are celebrating. Besides that all the employees were great from the minute you walk in the door. They are all working and servicing with a pleasant ... read more

I tried calling in a simple order. Apparently they don't even know their own menu.?!
