I came for lunch to your Oakland restaurant around 2:30 on Tuesday 3/21. After waiting more than 10 min to be approached, and no sign of a waitress in sight, I went to hostess station to ask for a wait person to come to my table. After another several minutes, the hostess came and said that it would be a few minutes until the waitress could come: there was a big party in the back, and she would bring me drinks. Today I went in for lunch (starving) I ordered a tuna melt, cheddar on sourdough sliced and side salad. I asked if they had shredded cheese to add to side salad the waitress said they don't carry that (odd but whatever). I waited for my food it did come out really fast a plus. while waiting I saw a server with a plate speed past and i saw shredded cheese. my food arrived i asked MY waiter again for cheese because i saw it. she says no you didn't we don't have it. I have eaten at your Pleasanton and Emeryville locations several times in the last couple weeks and the portions were great. Hegenberger is down the street from my house and the portions are half of what I received from the other restaurants. I asked to speak with the manager and they still haven’t responded to me and its been 20min, this restaurant is not very busy so I don’t know why that is. The service was really slow our waitress was not attentive we had melted butter in our bowl for the creamer had to go a get my own to go tray the waitress seemed spaced out and didn’t really about her job there was also another person standing at the register but she would help us it seems as if we were invisible the was no importance of customer whatsoever
I did an online order # 243910742. One of the two items was the BACON Cheeseburger Salad.....the Bacon was missing, which is the best part! I didn't realize it until I had gotten back to my desk to eat it, so....bummed.

I bragged to 3 friends from out of town about how great the Black Bear Dinner was they have never been to one . 1.we had a party of 6 people the restaurant was not busy and it took 30min to get seated. 2. The waitress too our Drinks order and came back 10 min later to take our orders. 3. WARNING!!! We believe that the employees are part of a burglary ring. We asked to sit by the window so we could watch our car and they said no. Yet when we left the restaurant, people were sitting at the window. Of course, their ring broke into the car and stole our carry on luggage, causing great pain and loss! The restaurant even had a sign that theft occurs there. Why do the owners keep these employees!!!??? Perhaps the owner is part of the burglary ring!!?? DO NOT EAT THERE!!
Walked into the restaurant @ 8:50 Sat at counter after waiting a few minutes for someone to seat me. Only worker visable was the cook. Walked out @8:58 because no one ever came by.
Used the men's stall around noon on 11/19/2018. It was messy with feces on the wall over the toilet paper holder. I informed the cashier of the situation. I returned on 11/21/2018, and used the stall. The same feces was still on the wall. No further comment should be necessary on this health hazard.
