Give a senior discount!. My order got lost and the eggs were not good. Ordered the California Benedict. Spinach needed cleaned. One egg cooked perfect, other cooked hard.

today i had early dinner at the hegenberger rd location in oakland I ordered pot roast because it is one my favorite food items. I must tell you that the meal came in about 2 minutes. this is almost unheard of. this wasabsolutely the worst rendition of pot roast i have ever seen. it was so distasteful to me that i hardly picked at it. it consisted of 3/4 inche cubes of some kind of meat of low quality and it and the mashed potatoes were smothered in a cheap overkladed offering of gravy. there was also some corn niblets ... read more

I ordered the grizz, my daughters ordered chicken strips and fries and grilled cheese with fresh fruit, and my mother ordered a turkey club sandwich. My daughters had onion in her ranch; one had diced onion and the other had a chopped onion. My other daughter had diced onion in her fresh fruit. Played Golf near by with my Sons- Saw the Black Bear on the way home and said,- let stop there..I eat there all the time, (in Arvin and Torrance CA and have been a customer for about 3-4 years- at least at the Arvin location - since I drive past there a lot from LA to SF) Took a while for service and the people seem to be a little in chaos. My sister and I came in for dinner and the staff and food were awful. I ordered the hot turkey sandwich. The potatoes were crusted on the edges and cold. The turkey wasn’t warm either. The waiter took plate while my sister was still eating. The waitress ( never introduced herself so I don’t know her name) came over and told my sister she needed to close out her check because they were closed even though my sister was not done with her meal. I was visiting with a friend. The waitress was unfriendly, we both ordered a patty melt well done and it was red. We sent it back and received red in the center. 3rd time was still not the way we ordered it. We should have asked for the manager and didn’t, we paid for lunch and left. We both had not ever experienced anything like this.
I love Black Bear, but the men’s toilet at this Oakland location was really dirty. I asked two people if they could clean it, but no one had the time. I gave a good tip. I just wanted to report the experience was bad.

The food was hour getting served the people that came behind us got their food first. Ordered food to go was late coming. The plate had about 10 fries and was cold. Lot of our church members come after church. I told them if not waited on in 15 minutes leave. Your supervisor yelling at waiter what you what me to do with this. I only paid because of the waiter. Rental car was broken into on 5/19/18 at about 10;15am and items worth approximately 5000 were stolen not to mention the damage to the two broken windows I was responsible for. The woman who came through the restaurant asking if anyone had a black/grey minivan because the windows were broken. We ran out to find the damage with her behind us.The only thing she did for us was clean the glass from the parking lot and give us the number for Oakland PD saying she can't make the call, and that there was a sign on the door. I did clean up the broken glass so as you or another would not be injured with the broken glass.
