I've gone to many Black Bear Diners so I suggested BBD for a late breakfast Saturday. OMG, the service was practically nonexistent! We waited to be seated, waited for over ten minutes to get coffee, waited for the waitress to take our order. It honestly was like we were being punked. It was infuriating. The wait staff seems to care less about customers. We didn't even get utensils until AFTER we asked. Better manager perhaps? We will not be back, sadly. You ripped me off and were awful. The app said my order was complete. I arrived and no one new anything. It was on the register. The order wasnt ready so they took my money nd gave me nothing. Want my refund and I hate you for the negative experience.
Send all the wait staff to the Mountain View, Ca restaurant and learn how to wait on customers. You should send in an undercover customer and see how they wait on customers. Sales would surely increase there. It is located in a great area, but service has ruined their business and bottom line.The food was good though but are dining experience ruined it. Your employee in full view of customers was using her teeth to open the seal on new bottles of ketchup. In what reality is this acceptable. I used ketchup on my fries and honestly felt sick to my stomach after watching this unsanitary display. All the staff working in front saw her as well as the cook in the kitchen. I am a huge and I mean huge fan of Black Bear I have been to at least 10 different locations and have been greatly satisfied I have been to your Oakland site twice sat 30 mins before being offered water it was not our assigned waitress but she stepped up and took care or us. Today 2nd time Oakland ordered turkey avocado sandwiches horrible a sliver of turkey on one side of the bread again waited almost 20 before being offered drinks and another 15 before ordering not busy so the was not justified. .I can't recommend that sit... read more
I love your restaurants and you guys do a super job almost everywhere. This Oakland restaurant consistently has poor, disinterested service. Always. Good food which always arrives cold or wrong. Always. You need a manager there that can manage.
One of the wait staff at Black Bear Oakland ran a stolen credit card that was mine. Since the card never left my possession and is impossible to forge, they had to manually key in the number on a obviously fake card. So your wait staff is using your business to commit credit card fraud.
Me and my wife stopped in to your location and was promptly seated let me say that was the last thing they did that was prompt. we were seated asked for our drinks given our drinks and did not see another waitress to place an order for another 15 minutes once our order was taken it was another 45 minutes till we received our food which was lukewarm by that time. It's been an hour sitting here and still waiting for our food. 2 tables were already served and we have yet gotten anything but our drinks. No follow up, no waitress to discuss what's happening. Debating to leave or stay & wait until how long we will get our food.
