So tonight was our 2nd time eating here and a totally opposite experience from our first time. If today had been our first time, we wouldn't have come back. So we were seated quickly, had a waiter who seemed like he must have been new. Didn't explain things at all and only answered questions about the menu. He only checked on us once, and did our water refills-but no ice, so the drinks were warm. My DH ordered the fish & chips and after awhile the manager came out and let us know they were out. He then got a California Burge... read more
Food is good. Service really needs a lot of help. Hounded for my order. I mean really rushed. Order was brought wrong! Cold. Had to be redone. Then didn't bring all the order.
Just sat down for 20 minutes, not one person even acknowledged that we were there.

Was there a couple hours ago today. Service was good. Thats the only good thing I can say. Food was horrible!!! Not ok. Not like it didnt have flavor. Simply just gross and disgusting!! I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and country potatoes with biscuuts and gravy. Sadly to say the only thing good were my eggs. Even the coffee I was served was awful. Biscuits were hard on the outside and mushy and undercooked on the inside. My wife has "the grizz". Same with her. Only the eggs were good. Dont think we will be bac... read more
I recently gave Black Bear a 5 star review, but I'm afraid that I now will probably never return. My mother decided to celebrate her birthday here. We had a party of 9 eating with us. Almost every single one of us had to redo our orders as they were out of so many things including turkey, and this was a Thursday evening in mid November, so I don't understand why. After we finally ordered we waited 30 minutes for the waiter to even return and refill drinks, check up on us, or even give us updates on where our meals were. Aft... read more
We go to Black Bear in West Valley and have never had a bad experience. The location in Ogden is a completely different story. We've been there a few times now, and it has been bad every single time. They have served my 9 year old a raw steak (not rare, completely raw), served plates missing major ingredients from the menu, served cold food and burned food. Tonight I ordered the tri tip dip, and when it came out there was hardly any meat on it. I had to ask for the au jus to dip it in, then it came out in a tiny syrup c... read more

I met a friend they're for brunch at 10:30 am. Service was excellent. Breakfast did was great. Went back the next evening for dinner and had a very bad experience. The waiter was doing his best. Waited 35 mins to get our food. I ordered the ribs. Nothing but fat and gristle. Barbecue sauce didn't taste very good either. Mashed potatoes were too thick and Luke warm. Loved the green beans and cornbread. The people I went with she had the pot roast dinner. She said it was excellent. Another onehad cinnamon roll French toast wit... read more
