NEVER had any issues with Black Bear!! We have visited many Black Bear restaurants in California, but this one is our absolutely favorite. The atmosphere and ambiance is so incredibly chill, and the staff are always welcoming. Sadly, since COVID it's been a lot of takeout orders. However once they reopen for Dine-In you will feel very welcomed. The food is always spot on... and those biscuits??? TO. DIE. FOR!!! Yep, I'm a frequent repeater... COVID will not keep me away!

I'm a big fan of the black bear! I'm honestly not a huge pancake person, but I really love the ones here. Not sure what they do different but they are really yummy. Also their burgers are great! Super tasty. Great kids menu - good value at a good price. Last week my burger order got messed up (honestly in retrospect I think it was my fault) and they replaced it and made it just the way I wanted it. Much like many of us, eating out has not been the same since the start of the global pandemic. However, Black Bear Diner provided a little glimpse of hope with my take out order yesterday. I called in around 10:30 am to place my to-go order of Bear's Choice for a pick up at noon. As expected with the freeze in Multnomah County, the parking lot was empty with only a few cars and the front door had plenty of notices about safety precautions such as masks are required. I like the fact that they serve breakfast all day because sometimes I just want breakfast for dinner. I ordered the Bear's Choice, which included scrambled eggs, 2x biscuits and gravy, and 2x thick-cut bacon for $11. Ordering online was easy and I got to schedule my pick-up, which the order was ready and waiting for me upon arrival; each item packaged neatly in a box. I came here with my daughters on a Monday morning. The staff was nice, the restaurant was clean and the ambiance was good. The food was good and has always been. Social distancing was enforced along with the staff wearing masks.
