It's nice to have a black bear dinner in marin. This locations is pretty nice, staff is very nice, waiter is rocking it going back and forth taking care of a full restaurant and making sure we have everything we need! Food was amazing as always. And for a busy sunday morning, the wait wasn't that bad!
You need a great breakfast to start your day or a great burger. You gotta check this out. Service is warm, helpful, kind, knowledgeable. The food reminds me of my grandma. Its warm and comforting. I love the pancakes and egg combos and my kids live the kids menu.
Went to Black Bear Terra Linda today for lunch. I'm somewhat a of a regular there and could tell that today was incredibly busy before I got there just from the energy of the crew. Evidently a number of employees did not show up this AM and they were very short handed. That's the restaurant business!! I associate going to Black Bear Diners with being on vacation, usually somewhere rustic. What a pleasant surprise to find there's now one almost in our backyard, well, county. This is a great place if you're looking for comfort food... someplace cozy, lots of wood in the décor, and good-sized portions. I got the chicken pot pie... some good-sized chunks of pulled chicken, a great gravy, but maybe a bit too much gravy in relation to the chunks of chicken and veggies. How nice to have a yummy breakfast restaurant in the neighborhood. Consistently good comfort food, yummy chicken and waffles, and a great vegan burger for my son. Took a bit for Black Bear to get the right staffing, and organize the restaurant, hence maybe some of the not so nice reviews, but my family and I have had some great impromptu meals together here. The food was good the service was a little off, but overall good Mainly because when I first got there I was sitting in the front with no one saying anything to me for about 5 to 7 minutes. I then walked to the kitchen and got some help.
We came here tonight for a quick meal. Lots of variety, we had chicken fried steak, ribeye steak, salmon, and tri-tip. Breakfast and lunch are served all day. the staff was really friendly and accommodating. We had our 6 month old infant and our 2 year old toddler as well as our senior parents. Our server, Andrew, was very patient and kind. The restaurant itself was very clean and our food came out quickly. Nice all American type of diner.
Always a joy to go to a black bear restaurant. I was in the area for two week and I ate there at least once a day.
