We ate here while on vacation as we didn't want to pay the $15 breakfast brunch fee at the local hotel we were staying at and we were looking for a Diner close by. We were incredibly surprised at how well this restaurant was and surpassed our expectations. The potatoes were especially flavorful and the biscuits were both enormous and delicious. I just wanted to correct a review I just posted. I live in Scottsdale and I went to the Scottsdale location of black bear diner.
The food is always fantastic every time my family and I come to the diner. We love it! One of our favorite spots!
Very clean establishment. Have enjoyed breakfast for past two days. Meat omelet and cinnamon French toast were excellent. Very attentive staff refilling coffee constantly. Will return.
Their pancakes are delicious! Came to get my free birthday entree. Came with eggs and bacon and pancakes. I also ordered hash browns. By brother got the volcano. It's nice inside and the have a juke box. When I tried paying there was some issue but they figured it out at the end.
Late night dinner and this place was open and not too far from our hotel. Ordered the chicken club sandwich with French fries. The avocado was fresh and the sandwich was delicious. It was quite big though since it's a triple decker. It's what you would expect from this diner. The apple cobbler was also very tasty. Not too sweet and just the right tartness. Good comfort food away from home.

We live in Tucson and have been to Black Bear many times! Decided we would try it here and compare! No disappointment at all! I love the biscuits and gravy so had it as my bread choice with my omelette! Everything was Very good ! It's near our hotel so may do it again tomorrow!
Mother's Day 2021 My boyfriend and I were craving for good breakfast and thought of this Black Bear Diner that's just down the road from us. We called early to ask if they do reservations or even waitlist but they don't. So we went there real early, hoping they wouldn't be too busy but we got there before 8, got sat right away!
