The food was great our service was terrible. When we got there we were seated after about waiting for 5 minutes I would have understood if they were busy but there was only a couple families there at this time. We were seated and ordered. Our waiter wasn't the one who brought us our food and he didn't come back to our table the whole meal to see how things were or to ask if we needed refills. better staffing absolutely needed. place was filthy. waited a half hour on sunday night while there were at least 30 tables open.

My husband and I just left Black Bear Diner in St. Charles MO. This was our 2nd visit. The customer service was less than par. Hostess seated us without saying a word and walked away. Waited almost 10 minutes for any staff member to acknowledge us. A server, other than the one assigned to our table, stopped and asked if we had been helped and took our order. Our server visited our table twice. Once to take order and once to deliver our check. She didn’t even deliver food, had another server do that. Simple hamburgers took over 30 minutes in a half full restaurant. Food was good and portions were ok. Service was terrible

We waited forever for drinks and food, and when our food came out it was dry and hard from sitting under the warmer too long. The only person who had fresh food was the person in our party whose food was dropped. Drinks were refilled by another server that we had to flag down. Multiple servers standing around in the middle of the restaurant wrapping silverware when they could have been helping guests.

Waited 5-10” to get seated Put order in and 25” later no food When inquired told it would be at least another 15”- wasn’t even full

1 star The service is terrible at the St. CHARLES, Mo location. We waited nearly 10 minutes just for our waitress to get our drink orders. There was 6 other tables being used throughout the restaurant, and it took us nearly 45 minutes to get our food. The aggravating part of this was there was a table who came in after us who got their food before us. The waitress had to come back and ask us what we wanted, then didn't know if the dinner portions came with one or two sides. Our waitress was just plain rude, a... read more

Came in for breakfast with the family, sat in the lobby for 35 minutes while there were over 15 available tables to be seated at. Finally noticed the rear bar tables and decided to sit there instead of wait another 15 minutes. Wasn’t waited on there for another 5 minutes. The whole time the BOH was chuckling around in the kitchen, cutting up, and looking out at the diner instead of focusing on the task at hand. Ridiculous. Decided to bail, will not waste my time there again.
