DO NOT GO TO VENTURA BLACK BEAR....i will never recommend the Ventura Black Bear. The management is rude and doesn't treat their employees fair. I will make sure everybody I know doesn't go there. Black Bear Ventura get better management because they suck. Do better get rid of the crooked managment. Bring back your best employees because without them you suck now.

1st. thing I would chang is all the lighting, from exterior to interior. Bright white lighting is good for CVS, but a restaurant....heck no. Tthe lighting is terrible. I think that alone keeps people from going there. 2nd. I ordered the blackened Salmon......worst Salmon I've ever eaten, it wasn't even blackened, I could tell it had been frozen for a very long time. Came in on my lunch hour and was ignored for 10 minutes by the wait staff. There were about 5 tables that were occupied. The waitress walked by our table at least 5 times and didn't even acknowledge us sitting there. She was more concerned with cleaning one dirty table. I only have an hour for lunch so I got up and left. Extremely poor service for a restaurant that wasn't busy at all.

Waiter definitely needs more training. Rude, never checked on my meal, meal wasn't what I ordered. I would not recommend if you have places to be and don't trust returning what was delivered.

Service: not crowded, but no one brought coffee/water for 15 minutes- sat waiting. Food oily. Just disappointed.

Very disappointed with the food quality. My wife got the all you can eat fish --- three different servings (only one piece per serving) , and all looked very unappetizing. Batter did not cover the fish, and although the taste was okay, my wife said it used to be much more flavorful. Poor service and food . Inadequate staffing . 2 small pieces of ham and overcooked eggs. Waffle not edible . Ambience fine but any breakfast spot would be better !

Service was terrible. Long wait to be seated, alot of empty tables. The waiter turned around and glanced at us and we still had to wait. She was moody and threw our straws . Very rude and condescending. Not the first time lady "C" was disrespectful .The time prior she went and got the Hispanic waitress to help us when we speak perfect English .Hate saying this but she wasn't treating the usual crowd as she treated my Hispanic family. Only clowns could try to justify charging $5.00 for a side of toasted generic wonderbread or english muffin. How about a $20.00+ omelette? Pure greed with a large helping of comedy relief. Disgusting extortion for ordinary Denny's-grade food. In fact, it WAS a Denny's until the rebrand. Branding isn't enough to fool anyone. Maybe use a money-sucking remora for your mascot. smfh. p.s.
