Consistently good food! My favorite breakfast is pineapple cakes, so fresh & delicious! The place is always hustling when we are there & I see some room for improvement with communication between management and staff, but feel like it's part of the growing pains opening & staffing a new location. Restaurant has been very clean our last 6 visits :) We keep going back & have met some of the nicest people while dining at the counter, old school diner style. We are familiar with Black Bear Diners so were happy to find this newly opened one near our motel. Our dining experience was great. Server Yvonne was very upbeat, friendly and welcoming. She quickly found us a comfortable booth. Food was very, very tasty, even better than meals from other BBDs. Manager stopped by to check on our service and meal. My wife and I have been to other Black Bear Diner locations and enjoyed the food and dining experience. We arrived around noon and were told to expect a 15 minute wait, which I thought was reasonable. We were seated about 20 minutes later. The staff didn't take long to wait on us and get our drink orders. My wife needed a bit more time to look over the menu so the waitress proceeded to retrieve our drinks and returned about five minutes later. Sensing a trend? I had meatloaf and it was ok but my granddaughter had mack and cheese. It was dry and tough. The lettuce had a big on it so she couldn't eat it. Drinks were ok, hot tea and iced tea . Service was mediocre. Don't waste your money here. I've eaten at another Black Bear a few years ago and that was terrible! Couldn't finish my meal? If food was better and service was a little better it would then be a little more appealing.

i ordered the 2 egg breakfast. I ordered the eggs over medium. the eggs were seriously undercooked. the potatoes weren't cooked. the bacon was barely cooked . Hubby had the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were not buttermilk biscuits- more like a dinner biscuit. The gravy was flavorless. Really was a big disappointment

There were 3 in my party. One ordered corn beef hash, one ordered an omelette and I had 2 eggs, biscuit and hash browns. The only food that was warm when served was the corn beef hash. Cold biscuit and cold hash browns were a real downer. But the biggest surprise was how grumpy the waiter was. Clearly having an off day. The Newberg black bear is better.

I've come here a few times and I am done.... first we had to wait 30 minutes for the food to arrive. The club sandwich I ordered was cold, the fry's were cold ... the waiter only came to the table once to bring the food... I don't understand how they can be in business anymore.... terrible service,. terrible cold food.

The pancakes and waffles were great. The chicken and waffles was a waste it's not fried chicken but instead frozen chicken stripes. The milkshake was great. Chicken avocado sub was decent. The BAD, The food took over 20 minuets for an empty Tuesday afternoon, the wrong club was brought out to my wife and the waiter came back 5 minuets later to take it back after she had taken a few bites and was brought the right food. had dinner of chicken wrap and coleslaw and so did DIL. Wrap had very little meat in it and coleslaw wasn't edible. seemed like pure vinegar on it! Never going there to waste $50 again.
