The food is actually decent ,nothing over the edge...the plate was $17.99..decent amount for the price ...fries were. Ok. They were not too busy ...so I asked if I could sit by the window. As only 2 tables were taken. I had to sit at a single booth facing the kitchen. 2 waitresses one hostess.my waitresses never came to see how I was doing(waited 15 min before she asked me if I was ready) took my order I had to catch her to ask for a beer...and when she brought my food..she was here's your food put it down and put my ticke... read more

Went to the Black Bear Diner this morning for breakfast. We were told we had to wait for 25 mins. It was packed full of people. After 25 mins we were seated, it took another 5 mins for someone to acknowledge us. Then it took another 5 for the waitress to take our order. We were then ignored for approximately 25 mins., at which point we noticed a couple that had come in after us, was finally served their food. At this point I went up to the manager "Amber" and complained, she just said "Let me check on your food." We w... read more

Arrived at 11:30a to beat lunch crowd and it wasn't too busy but it took 20 to 25 minutes for our waitress to come. Spent $16.49 for tri tip sandwiches that are usually excellent but this time cook put slices of tri tip grizzle on. When you spend $$$ you would think chef would cut it off so you don't have to try to remove it. My grandson ordered breakfast and said eggs were disgusting, I tasted them and they were some of the worst scrambled eggs I've ever had. Still debating if they were even real eggs or some liquid connoct... read more

When this restaurant first opened, it was run by a phenomenal manager who cared about his business and his customers. The staff was kind and fun and the food was hot and delicious and came out accurately. The kitchy decor was so comforting and the environment was fun and adorable. Now? The uniforms are garbage. The staff isn't tucking in their shirts or wearing the signature suspenders, and our hostess yesterday had a septum piercing which Black Bear would never allow anywhere else. The service was slow even though the resta... read more

We have a Black Bear Diner in our town, has good service and food is great. Stopped at Wilsonville, wasn't extremely busy, took our waiter about 15 minutes to get to us to place an order (he was not friendly at all) when we finally got our order it was over an hour other people were getting theirs and leaving before we got ours. When it finally came my hashbrowns were burnt and cold, the toast was burnt as well and cold and hard. Will never go back to that one ever!

We went there for our holiday meal. We had the worst prime rib we have ever had. We ordered medium and a thin cut that had been placed on the grill and was well done was served. It did not even look like prime rib. Very sad!

Our server Robert was amazing, the food was ok as well. There were about 5 servers walking around doing who knows what. The restaurant was slow and there were 6 people waiting to be seated in an almost empty restaurant for 15 minutes???????

I used to visit Black Bear Diners all over the West but hadn't been to one in years. It was a family special dinner and I had good memories of this place so talked the fam into going here. What a mistake. A 90 degree day overpowered the a/c and then we were seated in the hottest part of the restaurant with the sun beating down through the glass ceiling. It didn't seem to be that crowded, but the service was the worst I have had in years. Had to request drinks several times, only place settings for 2 people so the other 2... read more

i honestly have no words. me and my family went here for MY birthday dinner. we are a family of six, 4 kids including me. 4 of us are brown people, the other two are white. when we walked in, we were greeted with snarkiness. the hostess (white woman with dark brown hair) barely paid any attention to us. we asked to be seated in a booth by the window (there was many open.) but she had us sit at the back of the restaurant where there was no one and didn't reply to our question. we then asked again, and she replied "i'm so sor... read more
