The food is great! That being said the service is definitely lacking. They have a great selection on their menu and everything is delicious and comes in large portions. However you will get more than enough time to look at the menu before a server comes. Then once they bring your food you will not see them again until the check comes. I've been seeing this place forever but finally decided to go in after getting a recommendation to try the chicken fried steak. We went around 2ish in the afternoon and it wasn't very busy, but the service was horrible. They were very friendly but kept forgetting about us, so for example, my husband and friend sat there with an empty coffee cup about 75% of the time (and asked for more about 3 times). My party of 8 people were served very quickly and professionally. The food was incredible, we had perhaps the best burger we've ever had. The portions were huge and of great value. Also, the server, William, was very kind, apologetic about the wait (though there was none), and made sure we were all treated well. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
This is an ok place to eat. Take out has it problems. The food is good and the servers are friendly. The first time I went to this location, it was a long wait after we ordered our food until it arrived. Other visits have been some better and the last time was fast. We were told by neighbors that this was a really good restaurant. We checked yelp and found several reviews that were negative. We almost didn't go but decided to give it a try anyway. The restaurant was bigger than we thought, was clean our waitress was great and the food was excellent. The menu was diverse and the value was excellent. Highly recommended. Interested in trying breakfast sometime soon!
Went for breakfast with my family. Got seated promptly, the staff was super nice with us. My kids loved the coloring pages and my oldest thought the newspaper menu was pretty cool. We love the Bear. Have eaten in their restaurants in OR, CA, and AZ. Always good. Were a little slow on service at Wilsonville when we had a large party of 20+ people but courtesy and food made up for it. Had Valentine dinner in Yuma this year. We came into the black bear Diner in Wilsonville on Wednesday night Christien are waiter was the best as we were eating the manager came up to make sure everything was ok and if we needed any thing as we had are grandkids with us we talked with him for a little and he talked with the kids for a little and made sure they were doing ok. Next time we are in town we will make sure to stop by and as for Christien and hopefully talk more to the nice manager
