We've tried to give this place a chance to get better, but each time we go there it's worse. They now display a B in the window, that alone should tell you not to eat there. On a Tuesday night 6pm they had 2 servers there, and one of them was MOPPING THE FLOOR, I don't want the person handling my food cleaning the bathrooms! We waited forever after being seated for our drink order then we got our drinks about 30 minutes after being sat ordered our food took a hour for that and when we got our food it was cold I've been to plenty of of black bear diners mainly in Arizona and had no issues as I was checking out I asked the manager if they were hiring he told me no lol well I'd definitely look into getting some better help or cracking down on your staff

Absolutely DISAPPOINTED with our Family Valentine's Day dinner at Black Bear Yucca Valley!? We usually Love Black Bear Diner in Torrance & in Downey, so I took my Wife & our 2 sons to the Yucca Valley location for V-day since we're visiting Joshua Tree this weekend and could NOT believe how bad it was! I found big eggshells in my omelet and showed them to the server. She told me they use egg mix and even mentioned that her husband had experienced the same issue before. I was a little upset but decided to try eating the omelet again. Then, I found another eggshell. I told the server, but she didn't do anything about it. When I asked for the check, she charged me the full price for the meal. So, I told her that I wouldn't pay the full price. She ended up giving me a 50% discount. Hamburger was overcooked. It seems like they are precooked and then cooked again. Impossible to get one medium rare. It was 30 minutes from the time I sat down to the time I got my food. By the time I was served, I was the only customer and I still had to play hide and seek with the waitress. Black Bear Diner has always been a favorite of mine but not in Yucca Valley.

The chicken fried steak was deep fried with the same oil of shrimp, mashed potatoes were cold as well as the gravy. The good part of the dinner was green beans, ice water and the fact they didn't charge us for my meal. Server and host were nice.

Zero quality control or care in preparation. Just received a taco salad and it's missing half the ingredients. That's $30 straight to the trash. I won't be ordering from them again.

Food sucks. Service sucks. 10/10 do NOT recommend this place! We were so excited to have this place open up in Yucca. We've been here 3 times. We won't be back.

We got our wrong order multiple times. Asked for water when we got seated. Got our water 5 min after we got our receipt and we're done with our food. Food was way too overcooked and burned. We got coffee with the option to refill and were never asked if we needed more coffee and when asked they never brought it to us. Service was not there. And food quality wasn't there either. Very disappointed.
