Took my wife over to Black Bear diner on Friday afternoon. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries with a drink. She ordered the 4-piece over cooked chicken special. Not so special in my opinion. We waited over 30 minutes for the meal to be served, not a big deal. However, when I receive my bacon cheeseburger I noted to the waitress. It was missing the bacon. Short Version: this place is like a Dennys so I'm not expecting the food to be top notch, however, I do expect it to come out hot or at the least luke warm. We had to send a plate back because it was literally ice cold and the chicken tenders were cold but my fries were barely warm. The service is okay, the waitress apologized but probably still wouldn't go back. It was not worth the $90. My husband made reservations for 7 on Saturday for Father's Day. The time waa12 noon. He called back and confirmed it later Saturday night. We arrived at 11:55 am and told it would be 20 minutes by the little Teddy Bear hostesses who can't do much without the manager Frank. I decided 20 minutes why wait. They weren't all that busy. Slow! Walked in and no one greeted us. Asked if we could just sit anywhere and the young girl gave us a booth. She brought us the menus and our drinks. You see one lady on her phone texting by the fountain drink dispenser instead of getting orders. A few families that were there before we arrived still hadn't been served. Terrible. We ended up walking out. Not the young girl's fault.

This review will include the good, the bad and the ugly of my experience at this location. I stopped for breakfast on a weekday at 10 AM, so it was not exactly rush-hour. First, the good. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. My request for over-easy eggs were done just right. The bad: the link sausages were bland and looked as though they had been "cooked" in the microwave. Came in for my mom's birthday, she got a free breakfast which was cool. we both got chicken sausage and i got avocado toast on rhy bread. (with my side chicken sausage) we both IMMEDIATELY got DIARRHEA. on her birthday! We've tried to give this place a chance to get better, but each time we go there it's worse. They now display a B in the window, that alone should tell you not to eat there. On a Tuesday night 6pm they had 2 servers there, and one of them was MOPPING THE FLOOR, I don't want the person handling my food cleaning the bathrooms! We waited forever after being seated for our drink order then we got our drinks about 30 minutes after being sat ordered our food took a hour for that and when we got our food it was cold I've been to plenty of of black bear diners mainly in Arizona and had no issues as I was checking out I asked the manager if they were hiring he told me no lol well I'd definitely look into getting some better help or cracking down on your staff
